Lark smiled back, "Do you know who I am?" He asked holding his son close.

James nodded as he watched her. "The weather is a bit warmer today." He murmered.

Colton stared up at him and put his hand on Lark's nose as he chewed on Lark's finger.

Lark chucked, "Is that a yes?"

Colton stopped chewing on his finger for a second and stared at him, then went back to it. Sariah stirred slightly and then noticed Colton was missing and bolted up, looking around with wide eyes, her head spinning. She caught sight of Lark and Colton, then passed out.

Artemis looked around and forced herself up into a seated position. "let's go outside? I'm sick of this tent" and she really was too

James watched her and nodded, forcing his aching body out of the bed. He pulled on a pair of clean clothes leaving the tunic untucked and walked around to the other side and helped her up, keeping his arms around her tightly.

Artemis grimaced but didn't allow her discomfort to show as they made their way through the camp. It was hurt fault for losing him, she could deal with a the pain

James kept his arms around her as they walked silently.

"What now?" artemis whispered as they sat down near the firedancer's stage

James's shrugged. "Once the snow clears for good, we'll be moving. Traveling. Staying busy. Whenever you're ready, we can try again if you want." He glanced at her. "We'll just..keep living."

Artemis curled up against him "doesn't seem much to live for" she whispered, her voice small

James felt his breath catch and his own heart break. "But it is." He whispered, a slight hurt in his voice.

Artemis looked up to him, softening slightly "i'm sorry.. I didn't mean it.. " sorrow filled her, must she hurt everyone?

James didn't say anything. He just held her close, his eyes slightly distant.

Artemis sighed and stroked chest "I love you" she told him, staring down at her hands

"I love you." he said as he held her.

Artemis melted into his arms and watched the firedancers practice on the stage

James held her close, his eyes still a little distant as he watched the firedancers. He normally was up on the stage with them.

Artemis looked up to james "do you want to join them? you haven't danced in a while"

James shook his head. "I wouldn't be able to do much." He murmered, refuring to the fact that he was still hurt.

Artemis nodded and settled back down in his arms, her thoughts quickly turning south. Her hands flew to her empty stomach and she bit her lip "james? tell me about your travels" she begged, trying to hold back her tears and distract herself

James sighed and looked down at her. "Which time? There was the time I was in Venice, or the time we spent in Russia, or the time outisde of Rome, or in France. Or the travels with the boatmen."

Artemis's jaw dropped, effectively forgetting about the void in her womb "boatmen" she chirped

James looked at her and smiled. "Well, that year I decided I was tired of the land and I went off with my friend Rodrick. His parents were part of the boatmen and I lived on their ship and traveled with them all along the coast and to different countries. I even went to their island. It's a little uncharted place in the middle of nowhere. Most gorgeous place you ever saw."
