Boarding School

Megan mubbled "Thanks..." SHe grabbed her history book and slammed her locker shut. She looked at Ryder who was still there.

Ryder smirked. "What? You couldn't resist looking at me?"

(uh, how do I throw my characters in?)

(you can have some of them come to the snack bar where Nat is working. do you want one of your characters and Nat to date?)

(yeah. I think I know how to throw in James. :3)

James: I crinkled my nose at the uniform for work. Khakis and a green polo, not my style. I slid out of my room and headed to the snack bar. I had orientation to the job today. I sighed as I neared the snack bar. There was no way I was going to let anyone know I was here on scholarship.

Nat: I turned to see the other employee I would be working with and saw a guy, a cute guy and smiled. Orientation was about to start for the two of us and I was eager to start to begin making money.

James: I noticed a girl (Nat). She was pretty. I walked closer to her and smiled. "I'm James."

Nat: I smiled back and extended a hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Natalia, but call me Nat." I said, readjusting my pearls on my neck with my other hand.

James: I took her hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you to Nat." I noticed the pearls and realized she was not here due to scholarship. Probably daddy's little princess.

Nat: I smiled and shifted my weight to my other foot. "So is this your first year here?"

James: I released her hand and nodded. "Yeah. my parental units decided to get me out of they're hair for a while."

Nat: I nodded, knowing exactly how he felt. "Yeah, my parents are the same way, I only see them for Christmas, maybe not even that."

James: "Plus they don't seem to understand me." I wasn't lying, but I wasn't telling the truth either. I was telling half truths.

Nat: I nodded. "At least you got to see them..." I said and realized tears were welling up in my eyes.

James: I noticed the tears and frowned. "Hey, don't cry." I slid my arms around her and frowned more. "If you need a shoulder to cry on I'll be here for you."

Nat: I slid my arms around him, welcoming the hugs. "Thanks."

James: I smiled some. Maybe my very first few thoughts of her had been wrong. "No problem."

Nat: I pulled back and wiped my eyes and smiled. A single tear ran down my cheek, leaving a trail.

James: I smiled down at her. "Feeling any better?"

Nat: I nodded with a smiled. "Yes, thanks to you."

James: "Anytime. So, uh when are they supposed to teach us what to do?"

Nat: "Uh, I think anytime now."

James: I nodded. "Hopefully soon." just as I said that a guy came over.

Nat: I smiled at the manager and followed him around as he showed us what to do and how to do things.
