Well...that was quite unexpected and...i don't know... But I look down at the roll of cash in my hand. This had to be at least a month's payment. Carefully, hesitantly, like it might blow up on me, i put it all into my pocket. After another hesitant moment I go out to the resturant, busying myself at the counter quietly as it seemed the Kite girl and the guy she was with was running into someone they knew. Slowly...like...snail's pace...I got two waters for the two of them, not really wanting to interfere in Kite business. But...It wasn't really.../her/ fault.... I'm sure she's sick of accusations....

Sphynx: "There's a limo waiting out front," I day as I light a cigarette. "The driver'll take you straight to the Cirque."

Jackson: "Yea? Well maybe next time you will!" I move past her and pick up my bike, carefully checking it for new scratches. "Now go find some old lady to rub or something."

I swear I just heard Myrah's voice.
But that's impossible.
She's gone.
Maybe even dead.
I sigh and rub the back of my neck, trying not to think about it.

Bleh, I meant rob not rub. That'd be wierd. @.@

Myrah: "Do you think we can get some pancakes to go and the check?" Mat asks the waitress.

The Cirque. I was going to /the/ Cirque. I was on the verge of hyperventilating. Without another word, I went up the stairs, and out the door. Everything was so bright! The colorsnweere move vivid, the soundsnlouder, the people even stranger... heck, I saw a handful of people that looked more animal than human, with long, sergically added tails, and bright, unnaturally colored eyes. And sure enough, I saw a limo. To run, or to obay? The smart thing was to run, of course... but I felt my feetncarry me right into the klimo

Sphynx: I turn around and step back on the train. I make my way to a deserted corner and pull out my phone. "She's here," I text a familiar number. A few minutes later, I get a reply. "Good. Do you have the letter?" "Yes," I type back. "Good. Keep it safe until it's time to send it."

Jackson: "What?! No! Ok, well sometimes I steal an apple or two when no one's looking...or a really nice toy car...but that doesn't make me a thief!"

Myrah: The longer we're here, the more worried I get. What if he already knows it's me and is just waiting for me to make the first move? I wonder if he'll hate me when he finds out...Damn, I shouldn't be worrying about that right now. He probably doesn't even know it's me.

I set down my coffee cup and run a hand through my blonde hair, then set off over to the table. "Excuse me..."
I pause. I don't know what I planned on actually saying.

I stared out the window, taking in all the sights. Wow... I mean, the rest of America is crazy, but THIS? Everybody seems to have some surgery, or is high, or are feeling each other up. Sometimes all three. Insanity at it's craziest. And in just about thirty minutes, we reached the pinnicle of it all. Where all of it started. The core. The Cirque.

Annabelle
"Yes it DOES! I HAVE A THIEF FRIEND!" That is SO COOL. Oh my gosh! My very own crook!

Jackson: "No! No it doesn't! And even if it did, who said I was your friend? You tripped me!"

Mathias: Damn it! I didn't think he'd actually walk over here! "Y-yes?" I force as Myrah shrinks down in her chair.

"Not you," I mutter at the guy, though he does seem familiar. My eyes go to the one across from him, the girl. "What's your name?"
If it was Myrah...wouldn't she be happy to see me?

I got out of the limo, a shudder ripping through me as I walked to the door and slipped inside, holding my breath. I was instantly disoriented by the strong smell of booze, flashing lights, and defining music.

Annabella
"You mean you're not my friend?!" I gasped

Myrah: I have to stay calm. It's the only way we might make it out of this mess. I look in his direction but make sure to keep my head down. "Why do you want to know?"

Aro: "Aro, could you slow down please?" "How about you learn how to fucken keep up?" I storm through the crowded room with a bottle of vodka in my hands and a lollipop between my teeth. The Cirque is crazy as always and I'm stepping on passed out druggies and alcoholics in five inch heels and flicking off people who ask for autographs. I'm in a fucked up mood and I'm ten seconds away from punching someone in the face. "But I can't do your hair if you don't stay still!" I whirl around on the hair stylist suddenly. "Well if it gets messed up then fix it again! Jesus, that's your job isn't it?!" I've got too much shit to do and way too much energy to keep it bottled up. When I turn back around, I notice a shrimpy looking girl looking around like a damn sheep in a slaughter house. Fuck me, another newbie. Just what I need.

Jackson: "No! I don't even know you!"

Now I'm sure. It's her, it's definitely her.
I gulp and step back from the table, hands in my pockets.
If it'll make her feel better, then I'll pretend like I didn't see through her disguise.
"Never mind, my mistake, you just looked like someone I knew," I say, clearing my throat. I glance at the guy again, must be Mat, and give a slight nod.
I hope they know that if for some reason they need help...I'm here.
I sigh and walk away, back to my stupid coffee. I lay some money at the place I was sitting.
At least I know Myrah's /safe/....

Well... maybe I could just... leave. I ran my hand through my boy-short hair with a deep sigh. But I felt like I was too deep into this to just back out now, even if I was forced in with a scalpel. I felt like I was being watched, and turned around... I did a double take. Was that /Aro/?!

"But... but... butttttt... we can still be bbfs! Please?!" I whined

Myrah: As soon as he walks away, I slam my face down on the table. "Wow, that was a lot better than I expected," says Mat. I shake my head. "It was horrible." "What? He didn't even say anything!" "But he knew it was me, Mat!"

Aro: I look her up and down. She definantly doesn't look like any potential carnie I've ever seen, and most new people tend to stay out front by the stage. She's got balls coming backstage like this. I take out my lollipop and wave it around. "Hey you. Yea you, with the stupid look on your face. Are you lost?"

I want to know why she hid from me.

Larry, her best friend.

I stand up and glance over at their table one more time before sighing and walking out of the diner.

Jackson: Wait, isn't that like best friends or something? That doesn't even make sense! "If I said no to being your friend, why would I want to be your bbf?"

I bit my lip. Aro was talking to me, this wasn't good... but I tried to look confident
"I'm not lost at all. Some guy grabbed me, stuffed me in a limo, and told me that Kite wanted to see me. So I'm here" I fired back, crossing my arms "But uh... if you could show me where Mr Kite is, that would be great, too..."

"Because BBFS are better than just friends. DUH"

Mathias: "Well at any rate, he's left," I say after a moment. She sits up and looks around to make sure. "...Are you gonna tell him?" I ask quietly. Her eyes widen and then close. "He doesn't need to know."

Instead, she let me think she was dead.
My eyes narrow a little.
She was okay with making me feel torn up inside, letting me think she was out of my life forever.
Letting me think I may as well end my life.
Myrah, who was supposedly my friend, was okay with making me feel like that.
I grit my teeth together.
Fuck her.

Jackson: It doesn't look like she's taking no for an answer, and I'm getting more desperate than a trapped coyote. "Well, that does sound pretty cool and all. So how about I go tell my other bbf that it's over between us and then I'll come back and officially agree to being your bbf." Meanwhile, I'm climbing onto my bike and easing my feet on the pedals.

Aro: Despite my mood, I laugh a little. "You were forced into a limo and brought here. That's a new one." I start walking away with the hairdresser still picking with my hair. "Upstairs, first door on your right. And tell that asshole Mat called earlier."

Hm...don't know what to do with them now...

Me neither. Hmm. Mat and Myrah are going to come back...eventually, right?
