I shrugged, uncomfortable under his watchful eyes.
"Dunno. You asked I answered. I hate it when people dont answer my questions."

Milo chuckled "Ohhhh I see." his laughter bouncing his words along. "So you'll...what was it again?" He paused significantly a moment before answering his own question. "Ah, thats right. Shut their 'fucking fat mouths' for them, but if a guy in a shit bar asks you what you're up to you'll gab about the whole thing. Free of charge." Milo smiled knowingly, a twinkle in his eye. "Some secret yah got there sweet heart."

I shoved him from across the counter.
"Shut up! I'm not blabbing, you dont know anything. You dont know where it is or what its called or how much money it is or any of that important stuff." I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Mmmmmm....." Milo said placing his head back on the counter as he gestured with his hands. "True, but now all I have to do is follow you...or ask one of your friends after a few drinks on the house." He spoke with a theoretical air.

"Hey-" I pointed a finger at him, half a grin on my cheeks. "That will not be my fault. Besides, its not like we're short on people to keep you quiet." I moved closer, leaning down to his level.
"But you would dare do that, now would you."

Milo stared at her blankly, a bored expression filling up his face. "A threat?"

My phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out and checked my messages.

The phone said 7:25. I slid the phone shut and smilled at Milo, patting him on the head. "Think of it like a promise. Its prettier that way," I got up, fixing my shirt.

"Will do." Milo said not bothering to move himself off the bar to say good-bye. The door was locked from the outside, that was the reason he was still sitting here, drinking like a bum. There was nothing better to do anyway. Sparrow wouldn't be able to leave, until someone else walked in and opened the door for them. When she had entered he had been a bit sluggish on grabbing a chance to escape. Ah well. At least there was liquor.

I pulled together a list of possible contenders I might have to face tonight.

I pushed on the door but it wouldnt budge. I shoved at it. Didnt move. I threw my weight against it. Nada. I whipped around to yell for help but when I saw that stupid smile on his face, somehow I knew he didnt need alerting. That asshole.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "What the hell? Why didnt you tell me that door is locked?"

"I'd rather have you yell at me later than sooner I guess." He shrugged, adding a shoulder roll and a stretch into the mix. Milo lifted his arms above his head and cracked his knuckles. Lowering his hands to behind his head he cooly said " Don't get your granny panties in a knot, you'll get out eventually."

"Who are you, Jigsaw? I need to leave now, I'm already late. Where's the open exit?" I demanded, hands on hips. I cannot miss my match today, I only took a minor match last week, I need this money and Johnny will kill me.

Milo pointed to the lit up red exit sign to his right and let Sparrow take a few steps towards it before speaking up. "Its blocked though......the owner is an ass, its against code and what not but he insists that he doesn't have the funds to clear it out." Milo shook his head "Don't start a fire." he joked.

I'm gonna punch this loser in the face. "I'm not sure you understand the definition of the word OPEN. I means not blocked, retard. I'm serious, how do I get outta here, this isnt funny anymore." I demanded getting right up in his face. I am so done with this bullshit.

"Thats it...no more doors." he said, the corner of his mouth turning up in an apologetic way.

I stared at him a minute, waiting for the punch line. When the punch line didnt come, I waited for him to laugh, tell me I'm stupid, and then let me out. And when that didnt happen, I waited for my urge to kill to dissapate.

"You mean to tell me we are stuck here... together... with no one else... in the whole damn place... and none of these doors work... and I'm going to miss my fight?" I sat down, scrambling desperately to keep my emotions in check.
"Is that when you are telling me?"

"Where have you been the last half-hour?" Milo asked incredulously "Yes. Thats what I'm telling you."

Curses bubbled up my throat, but I had one more trick up my sleave.
I sat quietly as he looked at me like I'm off my rocker. When he moved to sit back down I perked up and asked, "I want to see a window." Completely straight faced.
Yeah. Thats right. Be weirded out.

"On Saturdays this place serves as a girlie bar." Milo winked "No windows."

I narrowed my eyes. "I hate you." I said bitterly. I sighed, exhaustedly and made a call, my back to Milo.

"You already missed your first slot! Are you fucking out of your mind?! Do you know what Johnnys gonna do to you?"

"I might miss 'em all." the line was silent, and then went to dial tone.

"Shit..." I muttered to myself, running a hand through my hair.
