Whitecap Bay

David:
I continue watching the waves. The moon controls the tides but it is so far away. It is puzzeling. I wish I had my camera with me, this would be the perfect picture. Going in would ruin the moment though. I decide to draw the picture later.

She shivered as her body seemed to melt away, the form she loved so much disappearing as her tail changed into to human legs. She wobbled for a moment, unable to walk before toppling over into the sand with a loud "Oof." Annoyed she brushed her wet hair from infront of her eyes and tried again.

David:
I look down the road and see a girl lying on the sand. She is holding something long and metallic looking. I watch as she gets to her feet. I look away. I don't usually creep on people, I'm not gonna start now.

This time Sapphire managed to stand and wobble her way over to a fake rock. Pulling open the side she dressed in a short pink sun dress and started shakily up the beach. She wanted to watch more humans, the pole was still clutched tightly in her fist.

David:
I look again and realize the girl is carrying my fishing rod. I slide down the side of my house by using a drain pipe like a fire pole. I run to catch up to her. "Hey! Hey!" I call.

Sapphire glanced around, to see the boy from earlier. She forced a smile onto her lips to cover the fear she felt on seeing him so close up. "Yes?" She asked, her voice cracking a little.

David:
"Um... yeah, hi. I'm David," I say, "That's m fishing rod you've got there. Can I have it back?" I ask. The girls looks a little scared. I don't know why.

Sapphire nodded nervously and handed it over. "Hi." She said softly. "I'm Sapphire." She was doing her best not to start shaking. Human's were dangerous.

David:
"Thanks" I say smiling, "I'm David. You live around here? I haven't seen you around before" I look around to see if she is with anyone.

Sapphire hesitated before shaking her head, "I'm in town visiting a.....aunt." She said and offered a hesitant smile. "You live around here?"

David:
"Yeah just down there" I say gesturing at my house. "Where'd you find my rod?" I ask.

Sapphire gestured nervously towards the beach, "Down there near the water." She replied softly, she was talking to a human!

David:
"Oh well thanks for finding it" I say. I smile. "You hungry?" I ask, "As a reward for finding my rod I guess I could buy you dinner"

Sapphire's eyes got huge and she looked at him, then to the water considering running. "Um, uh," She stammered then sighed a little and forced a smile to her face. "Alright, but no fish."

David:
"Alright," I say, "We have that in common, I don't eat fish either". I walk down the road and lean the rod against the porch of my house. "Where do you want to go?"

Sapphire hesitated, glancing at the water again. "I, I don't know any places around here. You choose?" She asked, her voice still soft.

David:
"Um... Outback?" I suggest. The chain restaraunt steakhouse was kind of pricey but it was one of the only places in town that didn't serve fish. I didn't think she would like McDonald's that much, it would maike me look really cheap.

Sapphire nodded slowly, "Okay." She said and took one more longing look at the water before motioning for him to lead the way. "What's good there?"

David:
"Um... fried onions, salad, steak... basically anything beef" I say smiling. "Its a pretty well rounded restaraunt, its Australian themed"

Sapphire pursed her lips thoughtfully. "I thinking I'll end up getting a salad. I'm not much of a meat person." She told him softly.

David:
I shrug. "Suit yourself" I say. I walk down the street leading the way to the restaraunt.

Sapphire followed him frightfully. Every movement and sound making her jump, she even squealed as a cat jumped from the top of a car infront of her. By the time they reached the restaurant she looked ready to make a run for it.

David:
I look at her puzzled. "You okay?" I ask, "You seem a little jumpy, like you are scared of me or something".
