James yawned and stretched. "I've got no idea. I think Gabriel knows or else he'd have came looking already."

Gabriel smirked as he caught the thought walking by their dorm. "Having fun?"

James fell into fits of laughter.

Gabriel smirked and kept walking as he was looking through papers. "You're working tommorow night James. We've been catching scent of strange wolves. None from the school. It's against the law for packs to enter school territory, you know that. I want you and a few other wolves to check the perimeter."

James groaned. "Whatever you say.

Xavier laughed.

Artemis clung to james, not wanting this to end, not wanting him to leave her side "can I come?" she asked tentatively

James bristled at the idea of her being anywhere near danger. "No. Absolutely not."

Artemis ignored him "gabriel? please?"

James growled low in her ear. "No."

Artemis turned to him, "I can't stand the thought of you getting attacked and I'm not there to help you" she whispered, her voice pained

James stroked her cheek and brushed the hair out of her face. "I'll have others with me."

James laid his forehead against hers. "I can't lose you."

Artemis wrapped her arms around him "and I you. please" she begged, "don't leave me to my worry, let me come"

James stroked her cheek. "I can't. You're still a student...." James took a deep breath and relented. "If I can get a dog, then you may come." The mission couldn't be that dangerous, and with a dog around he'd feel more secure with leaving her here while on missions. Not to mention it wouldn't be till tommorow night....

Artemis hissed, weighing her options. "fine"
