Artemis nodded, "just as long as I don't have bed head" she fussed with her hair

Mark watched her raising his brow. He sighed and turned her around and gently brushed through her hair with his fingers before putting her hair up in a perfect S bun and looked at it for a moment and nodded, turning her back around. He pulled a few strands of her bangs down on either side of her face and then gave a small smile. "Perfect."

Artemis chuckled "you really want to get married right now?"

Mark watched her, his eyes twinkling happily. "I can wait till Venace if you want."

Artemis remained thoughtful for a moment. "so much has happened.. I'm afraid if I blink I'll find myself back at home never knowing you. I need some time to... adjust. I love you, but I'm not sure I'm ready to think of myself as a mediator or even immortal yet. never mind someone's lwife. I just need time"

Mark watched her, still smiling and nodded. "Alright." He slipped his hand into hers, walking her back to his car. His gut twisted in guilt.

Artemis gave a sigh of relief, glad he wasn't offended. She slid into the car, resting her head against the cool glass of the window as he drove off

Mark drove out to the house, his mind a million miles away, even as they pulled into the drive way. He parked and ran a hand through his hair, his brow furrowing slightly. Why would Jack send Alice to tell him that he was here? Unless.... He shook his head, shaking the thought off.

Artemis unbuckled, stepping out and making her way into the house, her thoughts a chaotic mess

Mark followed her inside, watching her carefully. He wondered where she was going, what she was going to do. Hopefully she wasn't going to go puke.

Artemis went straight into the bathroom, locking the door before he could stop her, and did just that. She needed to get ride of what they put in her. She needed to get thin

Mark sighed and pretended to be oblivious to it, going to the bedroom instead and sitting on the bed. He pretended the memories were ruling his mind. It was better than the thought that she was in the bathroom killing herself slowly.

Artemis finished and brushed her teeth, pleased with herself. She lifted up her shirt and stood in the mirror, appraising herself.
her hip bones stuck out, but only 3 ribs were showing. that wouldn't do, not at all. she sighed and pulled down the material, making her way back into the room and to mark.

Mark had let himself wander to painful memories, letting himself drown in them, blocking out the noise of her throwing up. At least the pain he was feeling from these memories wasn't anything like the pain he was feeling each time Artemis emptied her stomach.

Artemis found mark and frowned, not liking his expression, he looked... haunted, right now. She brought his lips to hers, trying to coax him back to life "you okay?"

Mark slowly began to resurface as he kissed her back. "Yes. I'm fine." He told her, a bold faced lie. But a good one. No one would be able to tell.

Artemis tilted her head and looked him over "we're engaged?"

Mark gave her a lopsided grin and nodded. "Yes," He said as he kissed her gently. "Very much engaged."

Artemis kissed him back and pulled away again "wait, I nearly forgot!" she scrambled up and into her purse, grabbing a little blue case and popping a pill into her mouth. she dropped it on the table, the title 'birth control' clear as day. "alright, where were we?"
(hee hee, sorry, can't make this easy on mark, he's gunna have to get ninja somehow if he plans to get her prego"

That might complicate things slightly, his eyes resting on the bottle for only a split moment before turning back to Artemis and smiling. "Right here." He murmered as he kissed her stomach, pulling her close.

Artemis shuddered and melted into his arms "not the stomach.. please" she whispered, wrapping her arms around the angry scars

Mark sighed, but complied, instead kissing just above her pants.

much better. Artemis's body shimmered happily, his was really hers. she liked that.

Mark pulled her onto the bed, slipping off her shirt and kissing up her body, to her lips.
