Kidnapped

Tara: We walked out into the hallway, and I locked the door behind us. I knocked on Rose's door, even though we had a key. "It's us!"

Rose: Us meant the two of them. I walked over to the door and opened it. "Hi there." I said pleasantly, and moved so they could come in.

Tara: "Hey. So what are we doing today? I mean, we should probably work towards getting to California as soon as we can, but..."

Rose: "Well, we need to buy tickets. We still have money. And I'm sure the police will want us to get there safeky without the risk of getting kidnapped again. So I say we should talk to them and see if we can make travel arrangements." I said, sitting on the unused bed with all my crap on it.

Tara: " 'Kay, I'll go talk to them then...you guys can...amuse yourselves," I muttered as I walked out the door to go talk to the police.

Rose: I watched Tara leave. I wonder what she meant by 'amuse ourselves.'

Aiden: "Now what did she mean by that?" I asked as the door shut. "Oh well." I sat on the bed that looked like Rose had used it.

Tara: I asked the police officers about plane tickets, blah blah blah. They said we could be off tomorrow morning, 6 a.m. We could have a private limo again, with bullet proof windows. That seemed unnecessary, but whatever. I quickly borrowed one of their phones and bought the tickets, then bought some suitcases from the hotel gift shop. We'd need them for all our new crap. I lugged them back upstairs into Rose's room. "Our plane leaves tomorrow - 6 a.m. we should leave an hour early so we can check in and everything."

Rose: I groaned. I always hated getting up early.

Aiden: "Well, as long as we leave, all is well." I said. "I'm fed up with being in freakin' WYOMING

Tara: "I know, right? Who visits Wyoming? Then again, no one visits Ohio, either...what where did you live, Rose?"

Rose: "New York City." I lied. I actually lived in boring old Virginia. But I refused to tell them that.

Tara: "Lies don't make friends," I snapped, having read her mind. But I wouldn't blow her little secret. Virginia? How lame. I wheeled a suitcase over to Aiden and I's room. "I'm going to start packing."

Rose: "How did you know I was lying?" I demanded, following her.

Aiden: Ah, crap. This wasn't going to be pretty. I followed after the two girls.

Tara: "Oh that's right, you weren't there for it - I can read minds. One of the Earth abilities, apparently," I said as I began packing away clothes.

Rose: "Well, you didn't have to go all morally ethic crap on me." I snapped, and left the room to go back to my room to pack.

Aiden: I watched Rose leave and turned to Tara. "what was that about?" I asked.

Tara: "She didn't live in N.Y.C, and I absolutely can't stand when people lie to me," I shrugged.

Aiden: "Well, where doe she live?"

Tara: "Virgina - even smaller town than where I lived!"

Aiden: "Well, my town wasn't so big either. Just because she wanted to lie wasn't going to hurt anyone."

Tara: "So you're saying it's okay to lie?" I looked up at him skeptically, with a hand on my hip.

Aiden: "I'm saying that she wasn't doing anything illegal or hurting someone."

Tara: "So, in that case it's okay to lie?" I muttered to myself. "Fine, whatever Aiden."

Aiden: "I never said that." I said softly.

Tara: "You implied it," I said annoyed, as I zipped up the full suitcase, and wheeled it over to the door.

Aiden: "No I didn't Tara. She never meant to hurt anyone." I said.

Tara: "Well it's annoying that she thinks we care where she grew up. We're like, her best friends now! Shouldn't she trust us not to be critical?"
