Ryder wrapped his arms around her to pull her closer. He put his head against hers. "What now?" He didn't want to leave now that they kissed. He liked this girl and that scared him a little. He was afraid of him hurting her. Sometimes he just could control himself around people.

Aqua felt oddly comfortable close to him. "I don't know really...what ever you want to do." She felt on fire, her body was close to his and this was surprising. She had never felt true happiness like this.

Blake nodded. "I'm good at tracking and seeing tiny details other people miss." Training helped that really, but suddenly he was drawn to this female. She wouldn't see that though. She was looking for Sterling.

Ryder breathed in her scent. She smelled lovely like the first day of spring. He would liked to have stayed that way but it was just too close. Already he could see her veins moving from her heart beating. It made him hungry, if he only just tiltled her head then he could... He pulled away from her suddenly making sure there was distance. "Maybe we should take this slow."

"Well Sterling said he'd meet me in the middle of the forest, but I don't think he accounted for the sameness of all the trees. It's like they're clones of eachother." She glanced at the person. "Do they all look the same to you?"

Aqua saw something change in his actions. She thought about him and realized that her blood...oh. "I see you resisting...I really don't mind..." She really didn't. She heard that when a vampire started to drink from you, you would go limp under their grasp and not remember that night. "I just don't want to see you in pain."

Blake shook his head. "Some trees are younger and others have been here since the beginning. Their bark and branches are different." Not wanting to sound like a hippie, he led her away from the small clearing they were in. The closest clearing he knew was about a half mile away. "The next clearing isn't that far actually..."

Ignatius chuckled. "Different is to put it mildly. I've just seen a lot of the world, that's all. If you're in this town you're whole life, you'd probably have the same views as the people at the clubs."

Ryder shook his head, "It's okay I'm fine." He didn't want to tell her that he was scared of drinking from someone. He didn't know if that would make him into a monster like his father or make his human side disappear. Plus he wasn't sure that if he started that he would stop. He really didn't want to hurt Aqua. "I can't"

Blake shook his head, flushing. "I live in the forest, so I observe this all the time. I know the trees so I can find my way back to my spot." He couldn't tell her where his place was, because she might tell someone else. Blake couldn't live at his father's home because he was just far too rich. It made him sick.

Aqua shrugged. "I'm a free doner. That's all I'm saying." She was a nature creature, so if she gave her blood, she would save the life of a human. Aqua would bring some balance, no matter how small, to the world.

Ignatius nodded, understanding. "People can be so different, but yet the same in so many places." He was at New Mexico before this and the people there were different. He liked the warm areas, being a fire spirit and all.

Victoria raised an eyebrow. "Live in the forest? You don't fall for the creature comforts of hot water and air-conditioning?" She could never live in the forest. The thought of bugs crawling everywhere made her shiver.

Ryder nodded, "I will keep that in mind if I ever need to..." He didn't want to say it. He just really needed to get out of here before he changed his mind on drinking her blood. "I got to go." He left the house quickly before she could say anything. He got into his car driving off to his house.

"I have a friend who lets me use his shower." Blake could understand not wanting to stay in the forest, but for him it was a sanctuary. No one bothered him, except his trainer and the random person. "Air-conditioning is just wind really..."

Aqua almost slapped herself. She had made things so awkward and she didn't have time to apologize before he left. Ugh. Aqua started to clean her house, trying to take her mind off it.

Ryder felt bad for leaving so quickly but he just didn't want to do anything he would regret. He went back home to see if his mom was still asleep. When he got back home he found her to be to his surprise wide awake. "Hey mom." She looked up from her newspaper. "Hey sweetie." He poured himself another cup of coffee. "Why you up so early?" His mom sighed putting down the newspaper. "You know today I have to help with cancer treaments." He nodded how could he forget. She did this every month. It was just he still had Aqua on his mind.

Theo: I thought about this for a moment, trying to find words, and noticed she moved closer. I didnt make a move to get closer to her too, but i didnt move away as i would almost certainly have done with anyone else. "I don't know...... its....... hard to explain.... but, uhm....... im not quite as nervous around you. Its..... a little easier to talk. I don't just expect you to...... well, either just.... laugh at me and call me pathetic or get mad and leave..... i can be a little more open. You sort of..... bring me out of my shell a little...... i dont really know if that's good or bad, but...... its good, i think...." i said, hoping that had made sense.

Aqua kissed cheek softly, remembering how he said he wouldn't take advantage of her. She stood close, wanting to see his reaction and if he felt the same way.

Blake shook his head. "Um...not a tent. A cave. I build a fire most nights and sleep there. Sometimes I sleep in a tree...trees are pretty nice to sleep in. I realize this must sound very strange to you...I used to have a home, so I know it's very different..."

Rain: I nodded my agreement. "Some cultural differences, but a lot of the same mentalities......" i said thoughtfully. We were getting close to my house now - the closer we got, the more relieved i felt. Even with someone, i still felt edgy being out on the streets. I wanted to get home and lock up and be safe...
