Sterling tilted his head at it, the cooing noise stopping as he seemed to think. Muttering an unladylike curse under my breath I held my bow a bit tighter, no where near close to unstringing it. After all, I was in an unfamiliar place with unknown people and only bird boy as guidance. I had a right to be uneasy.

He turned his head just a little, back towards me and gave a very shrill whistle, causing me to wince at the pitch.

"Alright, alright, bird brain. I won't doubt your amazing skills." I grumbled, watching as he fluffed his feathers and turned back to surveying the place, apparently pleased with my words. Then he gave a sort, unbirdlike nod to Fool.
