Derek: After changing I went into the gym, where our class was playing basketball this week.

Vanessa: After getting dressed in the locker room- and wondering why this was a gym uniform, black shorts and white shirts just made us look like... characters out of a 1900s movie- I walked out to the locker room and into the gym, sitting cross-legged against a wall.

Derek: I noticed Vanessa sitting off to the side and passed one of my buddies the ball, breaking away from the game for a second. I walked over with a grin, "Don't you wanna play?"

Vanessa: "Me giocare a basket? Caro Signore, tu sei proprio il comico." I laughed. "I'm not... um... coordinated?"

Derek: "You don't need coordination to play basketball. And anyway aren't pretty girls like you born with coordination?" I smirked.

((GAH HARRY POTTER PUNISHMENT?!))

Vanessa: I smiled. "Not in the sports," i said, instinctively taking a strand of hair and twirling it around my finger, as I always did whenever anyone gave me a compliment or a positive comment. "And if that's so, then not me. I can't play se la mia vita dipendesse da questo..."

Derek: "Again with the Italian. Come on and play, we don't bite."

Vanessa: I bit my lip in thought then stood up and walked to the court. "Now what?"

Derek: I chuckled "You don't even know how to play? Do you know how to throw a ball?" I grabbed a basketball from one of my buddie's and dribbled in place.

Vanessa: "I do!" I took the basketball from him and dribbled it the same way he did. Feeling a bit bold, I threw it at the basket and it bounced off the backboard, but fell to the left. I tsked. "Damn..."

Derek: "So you know how to cuss in English, but you don't know the word for dating?" I teased. I grabbed the ball and threw a perfect swish.

Vanessa: "Ha!" i scoffed. "I know a lot of cusses, baby, not just in English. ANd don't be a..." I drew a blank on the word, so I changed the sentence. "E non essere così presuntuoso!"

((means don't be cocky... I wanted to put show-off but that doesn't translate to Italian XD))

Derek: I chuckled. "I was just...demonstrating. You're just jealous," I joked.

Vanessa: I shrugged. "I'm not really interested in sports so not really..." I twirled my hair and went to go sit back down against the wall. "I'll just be here for good luck."

Derek: "My good luck charm?" I winked and went back to playing with my buddies.

((Now...? Lunch!))

Vanessa: "Not yours completely," I rolled my eyes. So he was what? A flirt? maybe.

((YES!))

Jude/Nasim/Michael: I walked ((wheeled in Jude's case)) into the lunch room and took my usual spot.

Vanessa: And here came a new student's biggest nightmare: Lunchtime. Where to sit? Who to sit with? What food to get? What food not to get? Should I just skip out and eat by my locker? Sure. I didn't have a car, so I had no where else to go. I put on a confident face as I walked towards the lunch line, acting like I knew what I was doing. Which I did. Even if I didn't like it.

*honk?*

Ashley: I strode into the cafeteria and spotted Michael. I walked over to his table, where none of his friends had sat yet. "Hey baby, how's your face feeling? Nasim slapped you pretty hard."

Jack: I saw Vanessa walk in, looking lost, and waved her over. "Vanessa, we have an open spot!"

Derek: Vanessa? I turned my head and smirked at her in greeting as she walked over.

Josh: "Van. Essa. An Essa Van? Is that a new brand?"

Iliana: "Wow, three sentences in one day," I said to Jude.

Clayton: It looked like they'd found a new friend. I smiled friendily at the girl as she joined our table. "Hey, I'm Clayton."

Michael: "I'm fine," i said, smiling bravely. I had completely forgotten about Nasim. Well. Sort of.

Vanessa: I looked over my shoulder and saw the Jack boy waving to me, so I walked over and smiled. "Ciao! Mi lasci stare qui?"

Jude: I laughed at Iliana. "More foreigners?" I muttered as an Italian-looking girl walked over. I smiled in greeting.

Nasim: Wow. Foreigners unite?
