Nate chuckled. "No," he stated and drank more coffee before continuing, "you have good taste." He sat his mug down and crossed his arms while he thought. "No, I don't believe I have any plans. Why?"

Emily smirked at his first statement and when he chuckled. She shrugged a little bit, "I don't know, I figured maybe we could do something."

Nate couldn't help but smile and he tried not to hide it, he wanted her to see that he was happy. "I'd really like that, Em."

Emily was glad he seemed pleased with that idea. "Good." She smirked, "I probably would've dragged you along anyway." She continued with a wink and she just had to give a small laugh.

Nate genuinely laughed, like he hadn't in a long time. "That you would have done." he agreed and finished his coffee before placing the empty mug in the sink.

Emily finished up, setting her dishes in the sink before looking at her outfit and his. "Though I suppose if we're to be going anywhere, I can't be wearing this." She said half-humoredly before heading upstairs and changing from shorts to jeans, and hanging her robe up on the coat hook in the bathroom before joining him back downstairs.

Nate smirked and was going to comment, but held it back and waited for her to come back downstairs. "I think I left some of my clothes here, I'll go find something to wear and be right back." he commented before walking upstairs and into his closet. He grabbed a nice pair of jeans and a plain polo and put them on and grabbed shoes on his way downstairs.

Emily gave a small smile when he returned. "So, I was thinking we could look around for stuff for the house and well, window shop for..." She placed a hand on her stomach. "You know, even if it's pretty early for it. That is if you want to."

Nate smiled and couldn't help but pull her into a hug with a smile. "I would love to do that, Em."

Emily returned the gesture, a smile of her own stretching her lips. "Thanks, Nate." She just had to say since he didn't have to be around for her, he chose to.

Nate smiled as he rested his head on top of hers as they hugged. Now he was wondering why he ever had that fling with Hanna, he loved Emily more than anyone and he never wanted to be without her. She was his light and right then and there he vowed to himself that he would never hurt her ever again and he would make it up to her.

After a small while, Emily pulled away, glancing up at him when she did. There was a certain expression in his eyes that made her want to ask if he had something on his mind but she decided against it. She couldn't help but worry a little though. It was natural because she still cared about him, after all.

Nate masked his features with happiness and regarded Emily with a genuine grin. "Shall we?" he asked with his elbow extended for her to take.

A smile developed on Emily's lips as well. She was reassured by his actions. "We shall." She retorted, her arm linking with his without hesitation.

Nate missed the moments like this that they had and he was happy that they were sharing another moment now.
He grinned and opened the door and let her go first and then followed. He helped her to the car and opened the driver's side of her car and helped her in and then got in on the other side.

Emily had to think to herself how she was glad that things mostly seemed to be going back to normal. She almost offered her hand on habit and stopped beforehand. Things aren't perfect though She reminded herself.

Nate turned to Emily as she started driving down the street. "So where are we going first?"

Emily thought about shrugging but didn't when she retorted, "Well, I was thinking maybe the furniture store first, see if I can find anything we could possibly need...or replace something with, i guess." She half-smiled, feeling now like she had over-explained her intentions.

Nate nodded and decided not to talk, sensing she was a little upset now. He sat back in his seat and stared out the window as Emily drove.

Emily glanced over at him, figuring he misunderstood her feelings. She didn't mean to come across as rushed or frazzled. She soon pulled up outside the store, turning off the engine and waiting for him when she got out.

He smiled when he met her outside of the car and offered his hand, maybe hoping for too much, but he wanted to try.

Emily debated the option for a second but figured she wouldn't disappoint him and she placed her hand in his.

Nate smiled and casually let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding as they walked inside hand-in-hand.

Emily glanced up at them when they entered the store and a half-smirk came across her lips. Maybe...it wouldn't hurt to give him another chance sooner than she planned.

He held her hand with a smile as they walked around. "I'll let you pick out the furniture since you have the better taste, Em." he said with a grin.
