((I dunno. Can we just skip to the after school part? lol. And then after their tutoring adventure (hehe) we can go back and use Jack/Ana the next day))

((alright, sounds good to me))
Derek - I walked over to Tara's room ready for tutoring. I knocked on the door.

Tara: "Coming!" I called, grabbing my backpack, which was filled with the things I needed to tutor the kids. I swung open the door with a smile. "Hey."

Tara: "And I thought you were Santa, coming to bring me Christmas presents," I rolled my eyes sarcastically, then closed the door as I stepped into the hall, and locked it behind me.

Tara: I smirked and just shook my head. "We'll take my car, since I doubt you know how to get there," I led him out to my light blue, old-fashioned convertible. I loved this freaking car.

Tara: I grinned. "Thanks. Sky blue is my favorite color after red," I unlocked the doors and we got inside.

Tara: "Well, I've tutored on and off for awhile, but I've tutored this group only two months."

Tara: "My last group was for a year, so that's why it doesn't seem like much. But I'm proud of this group, they're making huge progress!" I smiled to myself as we pulled into the parking lot and hopped out. The location was the public library, in a not-so-nice-neighborhood. I explained "This library is the closest thing to a safe place for these kids."

Tara: I smiled softly "Yeah, I am. I want to make a difference in my lifetime. Even if it's just for a few inner-city kids."
We entered the library, and I headed back to the study section. Yes, there was one, but my group was the only one who used it. We were the only people who actually came to the library to study.
They all sat around at various tables, chatting and laughing, having been waiting for me to arrive. There were seven of them altogether.
"Settle down guys. This is my...friend Derek. He'll be helping out today, say hi everyone." They said half-hearted hellos, since they didn't much like outsiders. Or trust them. They had given me a cold treatment when I started with them, too.

Tara: "Well, time to get started. What subject do you need most help with this week, guys?" They all mumbled different things, but the most common was math. I looked to Derek. "You said you were going to tutor some kids - so get to it."

Derek - I froze, little did she know that I sucked at math, but I was going to try anyway. "What do I do?" I whispered.

Tara: I rolled my eyes. "Lemme guess, you have no experience with kids? Then why would you pick this goal?" I sighed. "Just check their homework worksheets. Most of the problems can be checked with a calculator, and there's an extra one in my backpack you can use." I started the rounds myself, having to help the very first kid whose homework I checked.

Derek - I got started on checking and realized that it was pretty easy until the kid needed help... that was then it got difficult.

Tara: I could tell Derek was struggling with the actual 'tutoring' part. I sighed in slight frustration. I walked over to the table they were working at, and mumbled to Derek. "I can take care of it. Go check the rest of their homework."
