Baylor Boarding School

Jack:"School is never amusing. Except for our English class," I grinned.

Tara:"Why?" I asked, but followed him outside, anyway, wih a roll of my eyes.

Derek - "Because it's better than our dreary school," I say obviously.

Anastasia - I laugh, "That never gets boring!"

Tara:"Actually, since you're here, outside is equally as horrible. I'm not gonna waste my night discussing my favorite flowers with you out here - not in a million, trillion years."

Jack:"We might as well just get ice cream now," I grabbed Anastasia's hand and we walked to the ice cream place down the street.

Anastasia - "OH! Ice cream!" I say happily.

Derek - "Is that so," I raise my eyebrows

Jack: I chuckled and nodded at the big board that had all the flavors, as I pulled out my wallet. "Decide what flavor you want."


Tara: "What is that supposed to mean?" I said, a little taken aback by his response, which was vague and unclear. Had he even paid attention to what I said?

Anastasia - "Strawberry! NO! Chocolate! NO! Mint! NO! Oh, you pick for me." I twirl around hyper as can be.

Derek - "It means I don't believe you." I tell her.

Jack: I raised my eyebrows amusedly and turned to guy at the counter "A strawberry for her, and cookies and cream for me," I paid and then brought Anastasia over her's.

Tara: "What, you think I actually want to sit our here and talk to you?"

Anastasia - "You have no idea how hyper I am right now!" I laugh as I start eating my ice cream.

Derek - "I think you want to but you don't want to admit you want to." I tell her.

Jack: "Why?" My brow furrowed and I rubbed the back of my neck, but still smiled. I licked the melting drips that were already beginning to slide down my ice cream cone.

Tara: "And why do you think that?" I crossed my arms, really just stalling.

Anastasia - "I have no idea," I tell him. But it was a lie. I had never been to an ice cream place before.

Tara: I just shook my head, glad for his silence, and turned to go back inside.

Jack: "really never?

Ambrosia - "Never." I admit. "I've had ice cream before, but always at fancy parties or dinners or luncheons."

whoops, sorry I was just putting in a filler because I needed to get to the bottom of the page. Here's my real response, my better response:

Jack: "Did you have a Monster or something?"


(And ignore what I had Tara do)

Ambrosia - I laugh, "Nope. I don't do energy drinks."

Derek - "because Tara, it's in the way you look at me, half hostile and half caring."

Jack: "I drink them for Ski Club," I shared with a shrug. "Do you like your ice cream?"

Tara: "So you picked up on that, huh?" I said slowly, rocking back and forth on my heels. My words came out all choked up, because there was no way I'd cry in front of Derek. Never. "I don't do relationships Derek, I saw my parents crash and burn, and my own do the same. Even friendships. As soon as I let people get close to me they hurt me. It sounds horrible, but it's so much easier to be the one hurting someone else, not the other way around. It's so much easier to watch you struggle, and not have to feel the heartbreak myself...I'm sorry I've treated you so badly, but that's the truth."

Anastasia - "It's amazing!" I tell him kissing him gently as thanks.

Derek - "You don't have to push me away," I tell her urgently.

Jack: "You make it sound like you've never had ice cream before," I chuckled.

Tara: "Yes, because you of all people will hurt me the most. If you haven't run away yet, then you must like me more than the others did. And if you do, then I'll like you, and...it'll be horrible." I let a tear slip, and all the sudden I was sobbing.

Anastasia - "Oh," I blush, "I've had frozen yogurt..." I say.

Derek - I hug her cautiously. "What if I don't leave?"

Jack: "Frozen yogurt? Not the same," I shook my head in mock-pity "Man, you've missed out!"

Tara: I let him hug me, I even cried into his shoulder. "You will leave, they all do. You have this life planned out, so somewhere along the line you'll have to leave."

Ambrosia - "I just haven't had time," I shrug.

Derek - "My plan can involve you, the amazing, creative girl of my dreams." I tell her.
