The Dragons

Prometheus: "Hey, you know we're-" Mab puts a hand over my mouth. This isn't the time. "C'mon then," she says. "My parents own a pub on the other side of the forest."

I meekly nodded and walked behind them, thinking things over, trying to make a sense of what happened. He had never actually told me what he was, he acted strangely when the werewolf had came. He avoided subjects of the past.... The bar came into view and they walked in.

Mab: "Mother!" I call as we get in. She frowns and shops the drunks out of the way, coming over to meet us at the door. "C'mon," she says as she beckons to others towards her. "Mab, go get my bag!"

Everything was a blur or activity and i just sat in a chair. "Is he...going to be okay?" I feared the answer though. He looked so pale, barely keeping his eyes open, lolling around like a ragdoll.

Prometheus: "Meh, don't worry," I say as I pull up a chair. "I've seen worse." "Go home, kid," says the waitress girl. I frown. "What? After all the help I've been?"

worse? How can it get worse? even so, that means he's got experience. "He's staying," i say to the girl. She pauses, studies me, and then goes back to Gray.

Mab: I start mixing herbs as mother threads a medical needle. "Hold him," I say to the guy. "It doesn't matter how close to death he is- he'll feel this." I put a rag between his teeth as the guy holds him by the arms.

I sink down by his side and takes his hand. "I-It'll be alright, Gray."
His yells of pain are muffled by the rag, his grip becomes so hard it hurts my hand but anything i can do to take away his pain is enough for me. I can tell he's going in and out again. "Stay with me, Gray. Don't go."

Prometheus: Damn, this guy us strong. I blow hair put of my face as I continent to realstrict him, my hands accidently shifting and becoming claws. "C'mon, man. Just hold in there." The waitress girl starts applying the herb stuff just as fast as her mom is whiping out stitches.

I sighted his claws and turned away. Another, but he couldn't be like those others too. He was helping. Fear bubbled in my stomach but i held it back. I shook with it but i held on to Gray. The two finished, Gray settled breathing heavily. They removed the rag from his mouth.
"Gray?" His eyes went in and out. He shook with me.
"Sing Ai, please," he whispered. I wouldnt dare disobey him.

Mab: I start putting things away as I the guy begins to speak. Good, I think. He'll be alright. "Mother, where is father?" I ask. "I went to te river earlier but he wasn't there." She frowns and thinks about this for a moment. "He must be on another one of his trips."

It didn't last long. His grip slackened and his eyes closed in sleep. He was so cold to me. I fell silent and brushed his hair away from his face. I was just confused right now.

he--he....see, i'd go for an awkward moment right now Ende. go into the bar seeking refuge in liquor, then having to deal with an angry and confused Ai....just me...

He'd be safe here, Ai told herself. She stood. "I need to...clear my head." She went for the door and stepped out into the cold night air. She breathed deeply and leaned against the door, but remained antsy and forced her body to walk down the street.

Shaking, I had turned from wolf to human somewhere in the forest. Monster, my head chanted. No, just doing my duty, dragons were evil...dragons had to die. Now I was curled at the base of a tree, my entire body still rocked with the shaking... but that boy, he didn't deserve what I did to him, did he?

The shade of the trees doused her, hiding her from the moon. She moved silently, enjoying the naturalness it gave. But she still worried for Gray, was still confused, still questioning if all of this was some dream and she would wake up again. Gray would be fine and still normal, no questioning his intentions in saving her...

Footsteps...but I wasn't paying attention...too far gone in my own mind, questioning my own morals that I had been so firm in just two hours ago.

Ai moved through the forest but then sighted her. Their eyes locked, and Ai couldn't help but be filled with hate and malice, but at what? She hardly knew Gray anymore. All these years he had lied to her...maybe pretended to care...? Confusion made her hesitate. Of course not, but...he was a dragon, and those others that had attacked her family and home. But he couldnt be like them.
