"Just go ahead and kill me" I mumbled sleepily "I don't even know what I'm fighting for anymore"

Ai opened her mouth to say something, then stopped, and reconsidered. "I-I think i'm just as confused..."

Site's back!

Diana
"I always thought dragons were evil...the devil, actually...but...that boy" I choked up "he wouldn't fight back. And he told me to take care of you when he was gone. I just couldn't kill him..." A tear streeked down my face

Ai walks closer and squats down in front of her. Her pale eyes study her. "When i was young, dragons attacked my family. They killed everyone, destroyed everything, and left me to die that night. Gray came though. He saved me. And now i can't keep from thinking of those horrible images every time i see him now."

Diana
Then everything clicked for me. It wasn't a sudden, unfounded epiphany, but it suddenly made sence. "He's a good boy...keep him close" I toss a knife to her "And kill me. Please."

She stared down at the knife horrified. She pursed her lips as she took it, but then threw it away. She turns and grasps her shoulders tightly. Tears start coming down her cheeks as well. "How? How could you ask that of me?!"

Diana
I didn't cry, even though I hoped for death, my training was too strong for that "Because you should. Because I hurt Grey. Because I want to die"

I shake my head furiously. "D-Don't hope for that. Don't ever hope for that, you hear me?!"

Diana
I looked at her stangely "Wait, you don't want me to die?"

"I don't know anymore!" I yell at her.

Diana
"Kill me!" I spat "Revenge would feel good, wouldn't it? Your friend may not even live because of me!"

"What am i getting revenge for?! He lied to me! Almost my entire life he's lied to me, pretended to be this thing that he's not, told dragons off and comforted me when the nightmares came knowing all along what caused them!" Ai shook her shoulders weakly.

Diana
"Trust me" I whisper, the tears finaly coming "he was protecting you"

"He...was, wasn't he..." I go numb. "And i was the one who almost killed him..."

Diana
"Never would have happened without me." I mutter "He loved-loves you"

I wasn't sure of my feelings anymore. "I loved him," I say, not correcting the tense. "But i don't know anymore..."

I think I'm getting off for the night, do some writing and stuff *yawn* sorry, MIGHT get back on later but I kinda doubt it
