They just questioned James, and nothing really went anywhere, and now Carter (the main suspect) is being questioned. That was where your charrie WAS going to start questioning her.

(Oh, okay)

Alana: "Mrs.-- Oh, excuse me, MISS Jamison, you've been having an affair with James for a while now-- then again, have a lot of other mistresses. You don't seem to like her, do you?"

Carter: "Haylee? Course I didn't. Why would I?" I shoot back. What a stupid question. Of COURSE I didn't like her. I was the mistress.

Alana: I shrug. "A lot of the affairs start with friends, best friends, family members. You never know. Do you like his other mistresses?"

Carter: "Eh. That Jenny one was alright but.. a stripper..." I roll my eyes and smirk in Jenny's direction when she looked offended. "And I never had any contact with the youngest one. Don't even know her name."

Alana: I clear my throat. "Anyhow, what makes you tolerate them?"

Carter: I tap my nails against the wooden stand. "Tolerate? I don't see them at all. But I'll admit, sometimes I feel like James likes them more than me," -i glare at James- "But what can I do about it?"

Jenny: That little b*tch...

(tsk, tsk, tsk, Potty-mouth-age)

Alana: "And how did James talk about his own wife?" I ask.

Carter: "Eh. A bunch o' ways. He'd say he loved her, best thing that happened to him, then he'd be all 'uptight, no fun, need you,' kinda thing. Like he suffered from bi-polar-ism." If that was even a condition.

Alana: "Bipolar Syndrome?" I don't wait for her to answer. "I see. How would he talk about these other mistresses?"

(Haha, in a way. But, huh, I don't thinK Carter did it.)
