Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Canary: she chuckled at that. "Can you?" Then her smile faded a little when she thought of something. "Listen...the girl who stopped by was wearing that pearl necklace. Lucy was her name?"
Dustin: he nodded, and then when Noah didn't respond, he said "Uh-huh."

Edmund: My jaw drops open and I nearly fall off the bed. "L-L-Lucy? Lucy Lovelace?" Lucy was right below me and I didn't even know it?! "She's alive right? Ack, stupid question! Of course she's alive! What'd she say? Anything about the necklace?"
Noah: "Go get my grandmother," I say. "But she's probably deep in the woods right now...try calling out 'Lalinna Vendeline' when you reach the forest. She should hear you."

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Canary: she bit her lip and nodded slowly. Her heart sank, no matter how guilty she felt about it. "She said that if I saw you, to tell you that she's sorry. For not dancing with you. That she was sick."
Dustin: "Aye aye," he said, and dashed out of the caravan. It took a few minutes to reach the forest, but when he did he slowed and caught his breath. "Lalinna Vendeline?" he called, and pushed on through the brush.

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Edmund: I grin and hop off the bed. "Yes!" I say. I take Canery's arm and start dancing around. "Isn't this great, Canery? And I thought she didn't like me!" I start humming some opera song as I twirl her around.
Grandma: I slowly open my eyes and look around. "Hm? Pietre?" My son? It sounds just like him. Tears come to my eyes and I start running towards the voice as best as I can. But when I see who it is, I frown. Of course. Pietre is nothing but ashes now anyway. I frown and lean against a tree, crossing my arms over my chest. "Ah, I see Noah has once again let his mouth run. What is it, child?"

Canary: she tried to humor him. "That's wonderful," she said, and laughed when she felt herself getting dizzy from the spinning. She suddenly realised that she recognised the song and whistled along with it.

Edmund: "Oh hey, you're pretty good at that," I say when she starts whistling. "We should hop a boat to America and become stars." When I feel on the verge of getting sick, I let go and fall to the floor, trying to catch my breath.

Canary: she smiled sheepishly, and then Edmund collapsed. "Edmund!" She stopped in her tracks and stooped next to him. "Are you alright?"

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Edmund: "Hm? Oh, yea," I say as I start to sit up. "I just thought you wouldn't really appreciate if I were to get sick on your floor. I wonder if there's ever been a whistling-humming duo before. Think we'll get famous enough to perform for the queen?"
Grandma: I frown and take out another cigarette. "Yes, it is about that time, isn't it? Come, let's go."

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Canary: she laughed. "Definately," she said, and helped him up. "We'd be known all across England and farther! The crowds, the places we'd see..." She smiled to herself. "I could finally get out of this place."
Dustin: he followed behind her, picking through the brush. "About that time?"

Grandma: "Yes, child. He was blinded by a strange man in a top hat, yes? Fate showed me this once before."
Edmund: "You're telling me," I sigh. "There's quite a few things I won't miss about good old London."

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Canary: "No kidding." She sat down on her bed and set her chin in her hand. Her eyes flickered to Edmund again. "But what's so bad about being in a noble family? I always thought it would be...well, better than here."

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Edmund: I smirk. "That's like saying a bird in a cage is better off than a dog on a leash because he can fly. But if anything, if makes things worse. My parents won't even look at me, my mother floating around like a ghost while my father stomps and yells like a child to get his way. Our house is so big to keep us from being around eachother for too long."
Grandma: "Of course," I say as we near the caravan. "He is Romani- why would he bow to something like this? Now help me in child. I am still an old woman."

Canary: "Oh." She sighed. After a moment, she smiled. "Well, I guess we're in the same boat, then."

Noah: Suddenly I feel a hand on my forehead forcing me to look my. I hear my grandmother click her tongue as she brushes the hair from my forehead. "Well, what can be done?" she says. "Lay down on the floor and wait. It is only temporary."
Edmund: I smile. "Yea, you could say that? Guess we'll have to map out our escape route some day."

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Dustin: he couldn't help but gape a little when he got another good look at the eye. It was clouded this time. It was a good thing that was only temporary, because it looked way more awesome before..."That's a relief," he said, and then his hat caught his eye again. It was still imprisoned on that shelf. He wished that was temporary.

Canary: "When's someday?" She asked, not entirely serious but nonetheless wondering how long she would have to stay in old London.

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Edmund: "Well, I did already run out of the house..." I sit up and look at her. "Whenever you want, although we might not be able to leave for awhile... Not to mention my sister would probably force the constables to go looking for me."
Grandma: "Hmph. Sometimes I wish it would last longer, if only to teach my knuckle headed grandson a lesson!"

Dustin: "Hey, he's not that knuckle-headed." He liked Noah. He was a lot funner than the other adults he'd known.

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Canary: she shrugged. "I'm a part-time streetrat. That is, I've run away before. I know some people who would be happy to help if I ever did again."

Edmund: "Yea..." I sigh and then get an idea. "Maybe we can bring Ambrosia too? And Lucy? I know that her and her brother's family don't get along either."

Canary: she bit her lip, then smiled. "Someday," she said softly, and glanced down at the book that Edmund had been reading earlier.

Edmund: "Hey, are you ok?" I ask suddenly. "You sure do make that face a lot. Was it something I said? You seemed so excited before."
