Canary chuckled again. "No no, it's fine. No need to waste manners on me, I don't care for those silly rules anyway." She had a feeling that she would like Violet.

"Me, neither," Violet said with a smile on her lips. "Are you one of Alice's friends? You don't seem like her usual lot."
Alice refrained from sticking her tongue out at Violet, which would be extremely unladylike. Alice's 'usual lot' were flitsy ditzes who were pretty but brainless.

Canary: Hmm, friend? More or less. "Well...I suppose. An accidental aquantance is more like it."

"I'm just helping her with a boy. The one she won't tell me the name of," Alice pointed out poutily.
