Elliot: I clutched my shirt in my fist, turning around time square, sighing. I hated moving, but I knew it was necessary. I needed this fresh start more than anything. I found a coffee stand and bought a cup, then went back to looking around.

Rose: I had just settled into my college dorm. I decided to go find a quiet coffee shop to write my novel in. I packed my laptop and notebook and a pen in my denim messenger bag, and walked out.

Mikah: I walked into a coffee shop, biting down on my lip. I grabbed a large cup and brought out a notebook, mostly full of drawings and a few poems. All of the tables were full, aside from one a girl had just sat down at. I walked to the empty chair with a nervous smile. "Mind if I sit here?" I asked.

Rosalie: I look up. "Sure." I said as I pulled out my laptop.

Mikah: My smile turned more confident and I opened to a blank page, drawing a large flower, words cascading down its stem. The flowere was a rose, most like a blue rose. They were one of my favorites.

Rosalie: I sipped my coffee, and noticed he had a notebook with him. He was sketching a rose. "That's pretty." I said.

Mikah: I looked up, shaken from my little wold. I threw her a small smile. "Thanks. I'm Mikah," I said, tacking it on at the end.

Rose: "I'm Rose. Nice to meet you." I smiled.

Mikah: "Oh, Rose, I like it." i smiled brightly down to my picture. "Do you draw?" I asked.

Rose: I laughed. "Unfortunately not. The best I can draw is stick figures." I said as I typed.

Mikah: i laughed a little. "It's a true art form to make a good stick figure," i teased. "How about writing?"

Rose: "how did you guess?" I laughed. "Yeah, I write. I just moved here to come to NYU to study writing. I'm actually working on a novel now."
