~Character Chat~

"What world was that?" Peter asked. "And you should try living in the world I know now...well, worlds."

"This world...just early nineteenth century..."

Riddle finished another level with a triumphant "EPIC WIN!" She screamed shrilly.
"Uhm...There are people upstairs..." T.Mor muttered.
"Your point?" Riddle asked, returningg absentmindedly to the game.
"So...See...I find it wierd that Riddle is an anomaly everywhere, but Andrew is only an anomaly in Your world...And Your world." August pointed at Peter and T.Mor. "We at least SUSPECT ghosts exist where I live...If this isn't actually my plane..." August still doubted that this wasn't his plane...It was so familiar.

"See? You guys we're upset because I complained...I've been here longer than ALL of you put together...I have a right." smirked Andrew.

"He rarely complains...except when Ezra's here..." said Liz walking up to the group.

"NO BODY HAS A RIGHT TO COMPLAIN. THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO SUCK IT UP AND TELL IT TO SOMEONE THEY HAVE TIED UP IN THEIR BASEMENT." Riddle said loudly in a rather distracted way, not pulling herself away from her videogames. "Also, you just assume you're older than me. Which, while flattering...also happens to be correct...but STILL." Riddle ranted to the videogame screen. "And if age means whinyness...I WANT OFF THE MAGIC ROTATING THINGY RIGHT NOW." She added as an afterthought.

Andrew pressed his hands over Liz's ears so she couldn't hear what he was about to say, "I don't mind being like this...that much....what bothers me is how easy it is to forget...I can only remember a few things about my family. Every year...it seems harder. The only way to fully remember is to hold onto the past...if you do that...you go insane...if you don't hold onto it...you go insane....there's no happy medium."

((Yeah, the plane thing is tough because gh joined when we were on a plane that wasn't supposed to be August's...))

"There are some things I can't quite remember about my old life, too," Peter said.
"Same hehre," Senet added.
"And you're right... The less you think about it, the more you forget, and the more you think about it, the more depressed you become. You want to remember it when you forget, and you want to forget it when you remember. It's a vicious cycle."

"It's kinda harder for us...not many can see us...and it's almost like...you're in a dark, tiny room. Alone. Just you and you're thoughts."

"I remember everything that I can remember...Except those things that I can't because my Psycho is holding them hostage for an Ego boost...or something. I think Sigmund Freud decided that I fail at braining forever..." Riddle mumbled tamely through her videogame.
"I remember snapshots. There are bits. I was little...I kept all the stuff in the papers after that though." T.Mor said, it was clear that there were no psychiatrists in the city of Auda.

"That's how it's like for souls, too," Peter said to Andrew. "Sesria wanted me to mention that she feels your pain. See, souls can't be heard or seen by people who aren't bonders, and most people aren't bonders. The souls hear the thoughs of their lives, though the lives don't hear their thoughts. They can't touch anything or affect the world around them. Heck, many of them live and die not even knowing what they are. All they have is a strong devotion towards their lives, and a compulsion--no, a need--to help them and to guide them."

"l can't hear other peoples thoughts...tell serenia I understand. I remember snibits but they're getting fuzzer...and it's harder...I don't want to forget..."

"Ah, it's 'Sesria,'" Peter corrected. "And a soul can only hear their life's thoughts, unless they're making contact with another soul. As for memories...there are some things I'd like to forget that I just can't push from my mind, and there are some things I'm dying to remember that I just can't place. I'm sure it's the same for you, right? ...Maddening, isn't it?"

"Yes, it is."

"WHAT DID HE SAY?!" shouted Liz.

"That it's maddening to want to forget the things you remember, and to want to remember the things you forget..." Peter explained, giving her a funny look after the outburst.

Andrew took his hands off of her ears, patting her on the head. "Nothing."

"Any particular reason you just did that?" Peter asked.

"Do what?" asked Andrew.

"You were covering her ears. Why was that?"

Andrew covered her ears again, "So she wouldn't hear."

"Why don't you want her to hear, though?" he asked. "That's what I'm wondering."

"She'll worry."

"Why would she worry, though? I don't see what's so bad about it."

"I don't want her to feel bad for me. She'll just worry about me more. She cares...too much."

Riddle had lost all interest in the conversation and returned to whatever it was that she had been playing before.
"I don't see why you have so much sadness then. You have someone who cares about your well being outside of the 'you-are-my-food-ticket' sort of view point. Embrace that." T.Mor said sincerely. "Don't whine about what you don't have...enjoy the stuff you do."
"You sound like a hallmark card." Riddle muttered distantly.
"I thought you were playing your videogame again." T.Mor responded.
"Loading screen...The lag time here is awful...where's your shrine?"Riddle complained, looking around for something.

"I'm not normaly this whiny.... but it's not all as great as you may think." sighed Andrew.
