My friends...they were my fault as well. Away from their homes and families because i decided to trust the Institute. They were changed because of me, they are chased because of me, they may never return home because of me. Mo...I look over to him, playing with Develyn. I had rescued him, he has the chance to go home but chooses not to. My life is about to fade back into Ayakashi. "I don't see how something made for destruction can be good." I'm a something, and not a someone.

(No not you, Winter xD I was waiting for BW.)

Cricket thought about that for a moment. "Hmm...what are stars? Balls of gas billions of miles away that eventually implode on themselves. Yet th' biggest star, th' sun, is th' sole thing that makes life possible 'ere. Sure, it's bound for destruction someday. But while it's 'ere, we hold onto it, and enjoy it while it lasts. I say it's worth it." He paused for a moment, then added quickly, "Ah, that was a bad metaphor. But th' thing is, good things come to an end eventually. That doesn't make them bad."

Mo blinks and chimes laughter. He flies over happily. He turns to Cricket.

"What'd you want, little alien?" Cricket said, but it was in a tone of endearment, and he cracked a smile before coddling a finger around Mo's chin...well, what he assumed to be Mo's chin.

He sneered at him a moment, flitting away behind me to peak over my shoulder at him. "I cannot create as a star though...but super novas are beautiful..."

I concentrated, changing my energy's natural spiral shape into that of a starburst. I poured a little energy through the shape and put my hand out in front of me with my palm facing up. A bright ball of light appeared, hovering a few inches above my hand. I smiled and tossed the light into the air; it fell gently like a balloon back to my palm again.

"Pft. Nobody creates. We jus' take little bits and peices of stuff we see and stick 'em together to make an idea, original or not. It's a see-and-do game. You seem t' 'ave that down, so I say you're set." Cricket shook the hair out of his eyes, watching the little glowing orb that the french guy had pulled out of his hand. That was new.

I grinned at Cricket before returning my attention to my little light. I brought my other hand up to it, channeling more energy through my fingers and turning the orb an array of different, swirling colors. What? It was fun.

((He's slightly tall, has long-ish, blonde hair and blue eyes, is light-skinned, and is phyically fit. His muscles are lean and wiry. Right now, he happens to be wearing a navy tank top with a loose, turtleneck collar, black gloves, black cargo pants, and black boots. He had a black cloack and a black scarf, too, but he lost them prior to his arrival on this plane. Dark clothing is part of Scout attire during missions, if you were wondering.))

"You misunderstand" I murmur, watching the lights. Mo comes around and settles in my arms.

"Enlighten me." Cricket said, eyes flitting from the lights back to her.

Finn leaned against the wall, listening quietly, twisting a finger around Develyn's feathers. He wondered if Cricket ever got tired of talking so much...

"Zere's nozing to be gained fhrom feeleeng sohrry fohr youhrself," I said to Ami with a smile. "Eet eesn't what you 'ave; eet's what you do weez eet. You could use youhr powehr fohr destruction, ohr you could speet een ze eveel gihrl's eye and do whatever ze 'ell you want to do."

"Aye," Finn agreed simply.

I eye Cricket and sigh, raise my hand to the broken window. The glass floats up, sorts itself out, fuses into one again. "Creates..." I release my hold on it and my power rebels against it. The window's glass cracks, shatters, and before the pieces hit the ground they're just white dust. "...Destroys." I walk to the small desk, pick up a piece of paper and pen. I create a quick drawing of Develyn, only my power rebels against me now. I gasp, but give no other hint to pain until i flash Cricket my bleeding hand. "I physically /cannot/ create."

Cricket cocked his head, watching the blood drip off her palm. He whistled something shortly. "Tha's interesting."

I fist my hand, look away. "Don't look at me that way. You make me feel like some science project." Which i really was, but i hadn't felt that way in a while.

"So what eef you can't chreate?" I countered. "Zere's not only 'chreate ohr destroy', vous savez. You can avoid destroying zeengs while steell being productive. Like I said, zere's ze option of 'whatever ze 'ell you want.'" I gave a playful smile. "And you know, people won't want to be ahround you eef you'hre zjust angsteeng all ze time. Eet makes zem sad, too. Eef you don't want to destroy, queet destroying people's good moods and put on a happy face alhready." I toss my light into the air again, but this time, I scatter it into bright droplets that fade as they fall.

Cricket looked away quickly, rubbing his neck. He was sorry for staring, truthfully. He hated being studied, and there he was being a hypocryte.
