Alright, alright, that's enough. Back on the side where you should be!

Senet: Mais, you ahre leahrneeng le français, and you 'ave Fhrench blood runneeng zhrough youhr veins...and ahrtehries! Does eet not make you upset as well?!

Oh, it makes that French blood boil. Which...isn't hard. I'm not going to flip out on her for it, though. Now get back in there! *shoves him back through and closes up the hole* Sheesh. *more cracks appear in a different part of the wall* What now?! *"Leslie" begins to emerge from the hole*

Leslie: Can you work on my story?

Leslie: Pleaaaaaase?

No! Soulbonders is my main priority.

Leslie: ...Jerk. *she vanishes back in the hole in a huff, and it seals up behind her*

"Suhrely you must," I added. "I 'ave lots of fun stohries fhrom when I leeved on ze streets."

Cricket sighed. He didn't want to be around anyone right now. Just alone with thoughts and memories. But was that selfish of him? He started whistling again, swung his legs over the side of the building and slid down the fire escape. The walk to Ami's side seemed to last forever. "You--" his voice caught in his throat. "You a'right, kid?"

I didn't deserve this. None of it. I curl up in the snow, the cold not bothering me. I remember...they had to test my cold tolerance. Minus two hundred and eighty degrees celsius. red stains the white. It seems like a lot to me. I don't care. "I'll be alright..." I rasp out.

WInter: >.> I saw that coming. Has anyone ever told you that you're OCD about details?

Finn smirked. "Nah, plenty of adventures...but long story short, that's my life right there."

"Says th' girl curled up in a fetal position lying in 'er own blood," Cricket said.

((Actually, I have OCD, sooo...))

"You'hre no fun," I said with a grin. "Evehr been chased by a pack of hrabeed dogs? Now zehre's a fun time. Of couhrse, eet wasn't fun while eet was 'appeneeng, but you know. I'll make a long stohry shohrt by sayeeng eet's a good zeeng my bhrozehr 'ad 'ees hrabies shots."

"I don't care," i whisper out. "They've bled me dry and i still live." Bleeding out...wonder what i'd be like...i want to finally die... "Part of my four percent."

(Really? Oh...)

"Actually, I 'ave been chased by a pack of rabid dogs..." Finn said, chuckling.

I chuckle. "Maybe not rabid dogs, but certainly a few agents who seem that crazy."

Cricket crouched next to her. "Y'know...it might seem t' last forever, but it'll be gone soon, th' hurt. It fades."

"What about chases through town by an angry butcher? I met I'm th' only person 'ere t' 'ave that experience," Finn said.

"Doesn't feel like it." I pull my jacket closer, not because i was cold but because i wanted comfort. I wanted Milo's arms again... "What does naive mean, Cricket?"

"Can't say zat I've 'ad zat 'appen, but I've been chased zhrough town by an anghry gang. While ze ceety was being bombed. Now zose wehre some eentehresteeng times!"

Cricket smiled. How ironic. Now how to tell her gently without making it sound like he was calling her stupid. "It means...childlike, almost. Blissfully ignorant."

I try and laugh. Childish... I lean to the side, get up on my hands and knees. "You know how old i am, Cricket?" I ask, staring down at my red silowette.

Finn laughed. "Me too! Well...minus th' bomb part. But imagine trying t' dash across falling-apart too-skinny bridges made of slick stone while it's raining and trying not t' fall into a canal when you're skidding around every corner, or lag behind and get caught with a knife. That was interesting."

"I'm guessing either way older or way younger than me," Cricket said.

"Zat does sound eentehresteeng!" I smiled. "See? Youhr stohry's not bohreeng."

Finn shrugged. "Try living in it."

Ami
I breath in short gasps. The physical is coming back. "I'm two years, five months old. I suppose i take childish to a new level, for someone who appears eighteen or so like Jess and Sarah." I wince slightly, spit out blood. "How should i know anything? Why should i, who wasn't even supposed to have emotions in the first place, understand what happened?" My vision blurs with tears. "I don't," i choke out.

Cricket cocked his head. Two years. He held out a pitying hand to help her up. "You catch on fast," he said, and chuckled. " 'ere I am, thinking I was such a guilty little kid running around at seven years cussing an' trying not t' get killed. For a two-year-old I say you've seen a lot."

Ami
I swallow, finally able to sit back with his help. "Two years...is old technology to them. They said i was a freak accident. I shouldn't have happened. It was a minor success to them, followed by all the failure. I don't want to see what another accident like me is like now a days."

Cricket shrugged. "Don't worry about that..." he smiled slightly. "If it makes you feel any better, it's my guess that I was an accident, too." He figured that she could benefit from a slight change of subject. The whole hopeless tone was a bit depressing.
