Finn didn't look at her, his silent breath quickening like a small bird's. The blade felt like ice on his neck. His eyes flitted sorrowfully to his bleeding friend, who was propped up one elbow with the other hand over his chest. There was pain on his face. This must be a dream. Cricket couldn't die, he was only fourteen.They'd grown up together; for a long time they were all each other had. He couldn't die, he was only...well, not old enough.

Cricket pleaded with his eyes. His voice was shaky and forced. "Don't. Whatever you want with me...you can 'ave it...just don't..." The pain cut him off again. He felt dizzy. He looked down, hair falling in his face. "Not 'im. Just me."

I was starting to feel feverish, a side effect of using too much energy. Dommage. I was about to use some more.

I fired a blast of slicing wind at Finn's assailant. The thin torrent had unmoving air at the edges, razor sharp and eager to cut.

(alright, but I doubt they would shoot Senet or Sarah since they have powers. The only reason they shot Cricket was for fun, since he's totally disposable. Hmm...)

*Waits for BW* Let's see...if she said she'd be done with practice at 9-10 and I'm approximately two hours behind her (and supposing she even logs on after a practice that late) and it's 6:40 now where I live, that means she may or may not be on in 20 - an hour and 20 mins.

I transport, but not soon enough. I clutch at my bleeding side, growling at the air one as i appear next to Red Wing. I put a hand on his shoulder and narrow my eyes. "We know where you are now. We won't stop until we have all of you." I disappear with him, back to base.

Finn watched where they used to be in shock for a moment. Then Cricket collapsed. "Cricket!" He darted to his side and tried to stop the bleeding. He hoped he'd only fainted. "Can I get some help 'ere?"

I rushed--okay, maybe rushed isn't the right word...more like stumbled or staggered--over to Cricket.
"Mes dieux!" I exclaimed. "Bah! Can a non-bondehr do eet?" I asked no one in particular. I gripped some of my blonde hair, frowning.

It's the strangest sensation, feeling nothing. It's peaceful and unnerving and chaotic all at the same time. There was only black, no time or space or thoughts, and at the same time everything was so full of black that it wasn't empty at all.

Finn bit his lip when Cricket didn't move. "C'mon...idiot, couldn't keep one little bullet out of you, could you?" He looked up at Senet desperately. "I don't think he's dead. Any ideas?"

"I don't know," I answered, pinching the bridge of my nose. "Zehre's somezeeng bondehrs can do eef zey'hre vehry badly wounded, but I don't know... Eet's hreally ze soul zat does eet, so maybe..." I looked up. "We 'ave to try. I'll walk 'ees soul zhrough eet. Aiolii will."
