The Zombie Apocalypse

Carmen:
"FYI, they don't use barbed wire on horses."

Joel: "oh," I said. "My bad."

Carmen:
I smile sympathetically. "I wasn't joking about the arm thing, you know."

Joel: I frowned. "What? I haven't done anything. I'm not going to do anything."

Carmen:
"I won't eat your arm..."

Joel: I sighed. "Okay, good. I thought you meant you were going to hurt me with that whip."

Carmen:
"There are far worse things than whips out there. Which reminds me, do you have any weapons?"

Joel: "I don't know." I opened my backpack. "I have a knife. I think that's what it's called."

Carmen:
I inspect it. "Pretty sharp, too."

Joel: "But I don't know how to use it."

Carmen:
"Well... Stabbing is mostly in the wrist and forearm. Throwing is pretty much the same."

Joel: "Hopefully, I won't have to use it."

Carmen:
"You will."

Joel: "What makes you say that?"

Carmen:
"We're in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse. We're part of about twenty percent of humans who are still alive."

Joel: "Oh, okay," I said. Even in my confused state, I understood that. "So there are zombies trying to eat us right now?"

Carmen:
"Pretty much."

Joel: "Is that a zombie?" I asked, pointing at something green.

(is it? I don't know what he's pointing at, so tell me if i mess this up:)
Carmen:
I laugh. "No Zombies are usually the color that they were in life, with some decay. That, my friend, is grass."

(doesn't matter, you choose.)
Joel: "Oh," I said. "Sorry."

(Okay)
Carmen:
"It's fine. But I don't like staying in the same place for too long, though, so follow me."

Joel: "Sure," I said, following her.

Carmen:
I get to Costco and duck inside quickly.

Joel: I follow her inside and sit by a shelf.

Carmen:
"This is my base. Zombies don't go into big stores like here, so it's safe."
