The Zombie Apocalypse

Joel: "Oh," I said. "That's good, I guess."

Carmen:
"It's really good. What else is good is your memory loss. Most other survivors saw their loved ones die right in front of them..."

Joel: I nodded. I'd already lost my parents years ago, but I had the feeling I might have lost someone else too.

Carmen:
"I haven't met many other living people."

Joel: "Yeah. Me too. Just you."

Carmen:
I perch on a disused check-out counter. "So what do you remember about
your self?"

Joel: I thought about it. "Just that my name is Joel." And my parents are dead, but not because of zombies. But I decided to not mention it.

Carmen:
I nod, processing this.

Joel: "Why's it so empty in here?"

Laura: I slid out of my Target home base and carefully walked down the street, gun in my hand. I skid into an alley, where I saw to figures standing and talking. I hid behind a Dumpster, ready to surprise them when they left the alley.

Joel: I started fidgeting in my seat.

Carmen:
"What's wrong?"

Joel: "Nothing," I said. "Just worried."

Carmen:
I stand up. "I'm going to go outside, check things out. You stay here if you wish."

Joel: I shook my head. "No, I'm coming too."

Carmen:
I shrug. "Suit yourself."

Joel: I followed her out of the store.

Carmen:
"You might want to get out your knife." I say, slowly uncoiling my whip.

Laura: I heard them. They were leaving. I cocked my gun, ready to shoot if necessary. "Let's go, bitches." I muttered.

Carmen:
I saw the girl and narrowed my eyes, snapping my whip.

Laura: The whip grazed my arm, causing a scratch. I cried out in pain. "What the hell?!" I yelled, and came out of my hiding place, ready to shoot.

Carmen:
I ready myself in case she decides to shoot.

Laura: "What the hell was that for?!" I snapped.

Carmen:
I shrug, not taking my eyes off her. "Accident." I say.

Laura: "I watched you narrow your eyes. You did it intentionally, bitch." I glared at her.
