CHARACTER CHAT!!!!

Sparrow: "Can I have a night stick?" I grinned, my eyes far off as I imagine the possiblilites of owning a night stick.

"You're a good soldier Red Wing, you are an important asset. Tell me if you need medical care. If you do...it had better be serious." When Red Wing didn't request a doctor Iron Eagle nodded stiffly and gestured them into a near-by conference type room.

Milo's eyes narrowed "Looks like I'm out numbered."

Red Wing walked in, throwing glares at Wisp when Iron Eagle couldn't see.

Wisp
I follow obediently, standing at the entrance for orders. i catch Red Wing's glare but don't say anything,

Ami
I nod stiffly. "You are," i confirm. Only now do i look away.

Aw!

nooooo....okay see you then!

Iron Eagle shut the door, and turned curtly toward the others. "Now. Have you noticed anything odd about our situation?"

Milo took a breath to cool his frustration. "We're leaving as soon as possible. Get what you need." He brushed past Ami and sauntered down the hallway. After shrugging on his jacket he threw on his shoes, tying the knots with short angry jerks.

Sparrow:
Milo left the room feeling emptier and chilled. I stood silently and went to my room, gathering my small amount of possesions. The whole house was kind of... covered in a soft silence. It brought about the reality of the danger we were heading into. It was an odd feeling for me.
As Milo passed I stepped out into the hall. "Milo wait," I saod and caught up to him, taking his hand.

BRB DINNER

Finn was left there, tense silence all around. His smirk faded. This was real, not some side mischief just for fun. He tried to distract himself from that fact, whistling something to himself as he waited for the others to get ready.

Red Wing looked at Iron Eagle stonily, but watched Wisp out of the corner of his eye. "Yes sir."

When Sparrow grabbed my hand I considered walking away from her. I didn't, and I didn't know why. With a jolt I realized that it was because I no longer had time to figure things out. If I died tonight it was over. No chance of redemtion, of revenge. If she wanted to say something, she should have the chance to say it before it was too late. The familiar trickling of adreniline started flowing through my body, thrumming in my core. My arm strung out behind me, connected to the girl who was so desperate to prove her worth. I tilted my head back towards her to show I was listening.

Iron Eagles eyes narrowed "What have you observed Red Wing?" If it was the same thing he had noticed he would be impressed, if it wasn't well that was one more problem. He did not need one more problem.

BACK AGAIN!

Sparrow: I didn't expect him to stop for me. And now that he had, the shock dried up my words. Whatever I was going to say vanished and I found myself mentally stumbling. "What do you think is going to happen?" I asked him, fear seeping into me.

"Two problems," Red Wing said. "The first is that there are captives with naturally-occuring powers differing from those that we've witnessed before. The second is that I have been observing the weapons and their behaviors, and it has become apparent that they are experiencing forbidden emotions that were not programmed into them. Similar to what happened to Ayakashi."

I'll be on and off, have to make dinner

I turned toward her, ready to say that we might not all make it. That today would be the last day one of us might ever see. When I did though I found myself caught up into her eyes. Fear. Nasty thick tendrils of it stuck to her and I couldn't stand it. "We're going to get out. All of us." I murmured putting on a false bravado. I flashed a cocky grin and Sparrow visably eased a bit. She needed to believe that the good guys would make it out, that they always did. Hell, I needed to know. I faught a strong urge to push her into the bedroom across from us and lock the door. Anything. Anything to keep her safe.

"Good work Red Wing, the Director has taken notes of these...failures. However, what we need to worry about now is why no rescue attempt has been made."

Oh goodness you guys are such good writers xD Every time I read Sparrow or Milo it's just like, woah, they're so real they're popping out of the paper! Er...screen!

"Out of all due respect, sir, it has only been three days. A rescue attempt will come in time, and they will walk right into our trap."

Sparrow:
I smiled sadly, "You're lying to me." I sighed and pulled him close, locking my arms around his torso. Solid and warm, the smell of his laundry-detergent clean shirt enveloped me. "I should have done this more..." I murmured.

Iron Eagle closed his eyes. "It will be today." he said confidently.

Red Wing nodded curtly. "Yes sir."

Milo held her closer, savoring it. Dammit. It felt too much like a good-bye. He rested his forehead on top of her hair with his eyes closed and breathed in her scent. When the time came...he would remember this moment. Finally he convinved himself to let go. Moving away from Sparrow he grinned, for her sake, one last time before letting his face turn stoney.
