Spiro laughed. "Hello Marley," he said cheekily. She was better. He was sent there to interrogate, but it could wait. He looked back to the boy, studying him. "What is your name?"

"Ah...Finn?" He said, glancing at Marley. Who was this guy? He seemed friendly...enough. But Marley didn't seem to like him. "Why are you here?"

Sprio smile slipped a little. "To interrogate you."

Spiro frowned and walked up to her, leaning in curiously until he was inches away. "Why? I don't find myself bothersome." He phased his hand through a metal box attached to his side, and brought out a needle. He silently injected her. "Thank you for reminding me."

My limbs immidiately became heavy- or maybe that was just the fog in my mind. My head lolled slightly to one side and I glared at him "I really hate that stuff. And YOU don't find yourself bothersome, and yea, you're not the most bothersome guy I know, but still. Shooting someone almost to death isn't exactly a way to kickstart a good relationship"

Just popping in to say I'm off, maybe for the night play practice. Might be on after. No promises.

That leaves us with two options: A, we wait a little so I can regain my energy and access my wind power, which will allow me to open the lock through air manipulation, or B, we have our souls stand outside the door, we switch places with them, and phase through the door when we become incorporeal. I know I can do the second option, but can you? Come to think of it, do you know what souls are? Senet might've mentioned something, but I doubt you have the full rundown. Otherwise, you'd be a bonder. Then again, your energy is considerably higher than the average Non's level."

Cricket ran a hand through his hair, ignoring the shaky image of that cat blinking up at him. "Ah...aye. I've traded places once b'fore, I can do it again."

Spiro pondered that for a moment before his expression darkened and he grabbed her chin in a death grip, studying her. "I am not looking for a relationship. I am here to find answers." Both for Red Wing and to satisfy his own curiousity. "How did you escape your confinement?"

My eyebrows raised.
"You have? That's..." I shook my head. "No wonder your energy is higher. You're becoming a bonder. Anyway, have that cat of yours walk through the door there. Since you've switched places before, she'll know what to do next. My owl was sweeping the building, but she's on her way back and will be here shortly." I paused as I thought of something. "Was I wrong in assuming that your cat was a she? I mean, your soul is usually your opposite gender, but I don't want to offend you or anything."
Tactless yet again, Sesria commented, amused. I'm outside the door now. I'm taking your faculties.
Yes, Sesria, I replied dryly, it's not like I didn't think that the second I went blind or anything.

I sniffed, but I could no longer smell. My sense of touch vanished next (though that was actually a relief). Then came taste, hearing. I felt it when she took over the control of my movements, my voice.* Even though I couldn't see, I was certain I was glowing brightly by now. Must've faded away already. Aaaand...
I gained soul vision. As an owl, my vantage pretty darn low to the ground. I flapped my new wings and took off, flying through the door.
I will never get used to soul form, no matter how many times I take it. Which isn't often, but still.
The moment I got outside, Sesria threw all my faculties back at me. Physics suddenly applied midflight at the same moment I lost the things I was using to fly. Which resulted in me stumbling unceremoniously to the ground.
"Ha ha," I said out loud, sitting up and rubbing my head, "you're hilarious."
I try, Sesria laughed, coming to perch on my shoulder.

((*I never said this, but the souls actually need to take control of everything. The senses, as well as anything voluntary. I didn't say it way back when because I didn't want to make a complicated thing more complicated, but now, since the pace seems a lot more leisurely, I figured, "Why the hell not?"))

Like heck I was going to tell him, the vents could be our best bet out of here, and if they enforced those... I just met his gaze with a glare, saying nothing
