"The skill is teachable," chuckled Ezra.

"Nod du me," I told the chuckling human. "Since I'm a wader dype, I cud never use fire. Id's my opposide."
"I wudn'd boder learning fire," Na'arsif said. "Id wudn'd work ahgainsd him anyway..." Na'arsif curled his hands into fists.

"Him?"

"Could you teach David how to use the fire ball ability? And what is your language called? Do you have any tomes or scrolls with your language? Could you teach me?" I ask excitedly.

(In my book with Kiera and David dragons are very eager to learn all that they can that is why all dragons that are old are seen extremely wise)

"De frickin' fire dype dahd burned de lefd side ohf my face!" Na'arsif told the human.
"I don'd have any wridden samples wid me," I said to the dragon. "Ahnd...yu wand du learn a whole language righd nahw? Yu're de second one whu's ahsked me dahd!"

"No, not right now!" I laugh, "Not even Ga'ard himself could do that. I mean progressivley over time"

David:
"Sorry, you don't have to tech me to do the fire if you dont want to"

"Ah, okay," I replied, relieved. "I suppose I cud deach id du yu progressively...bud where wud I sdard...?"

"It may not work as well for him as it does for me. I actually have a spell book." said Ezra, pulling out a large volume. (it says morgana on the cover)

David:
"I don't need to learn honest I'm fine with my sword... wait, can you teach me to light my sword on fire? Cuz, that would be useful!" I say.

"Perhaps the alphebet? I do not need to learn to write it, I can't right, I am too large"

"Okay," I said, looking around. I found a stick on the ground and picked it up. "Id's differend from de Ladin alphabed," I explained. "We hahve a few ledders yu can'd find dere, bud ad de same dime, yu hahve some dahd we don'd." I knelt down and started drawing lines in the dirt with the stick. "Dese ahre de vahwels. 'Ah,' 'ai,' 'eh,' 'é,' 'ee,' 'ih,' 'oh', 'ooh.'* All de characders, ohr 'belentai,'** can be drawn in widahd picking up yur wriding udensil, and nod a one has curved lines." I continued to draw characters, naming each one.

((*It isn't actually "ooh," but the U sound they have doesn't exist in English. Rather than the lips-forward "ooh" sound or the spread "ew" sound, it's a jaw-forward "u" sound, much like in French or Finnish.

**"OMG WD you used a T did you mess up?" No. Pedla uses both a D and and T, but the T is dentalized (like in Romance languages). Since a dentalized T comes out more like a D, I eliminated T's in all their English dialogue to simplify things.))

"It's almost a mixture of latin and old english." explained Ezra.

I recite them back to him and say, "Got it"

"Pedla?" I asked Ezra. "Dahd's wahd id's called by de way. Pedla. Bud no, id's really nod like a mixdure of Ladin ahnd Old English ahd all..."

"No...this language."

"Oh, okay. Rekai." I then turned to the dragon. "'Rekai' means 'sohrry' in Pedla."

((By the way, the pronunciations are "reh-kigh" (like in "sigh") and "pehd-lah."))

"Cool," said Ezra.

((I am so, so lost.))

(Dan and Ezra had a fight...dan left, condog brought in new charries...a dragon and an elf.)

((Okay. I might get rid of Frank and Noble and bring in some other characters.))

"So...are we not convicted anymore?" asked Ezra.

"You were never convicted to begin with. You were arrested. But now?" Noble shrugs. "Honestly, I've got bigger fish to fry."
She drags Frank to the car, and bundles him in before driving away.

"Thank goodness," said Ezra, shaking his head.

Name: Anna Van Haldren.
Age: 23.
Personality: Fierce and brave, doesn't suffer fools gladly.
Appearance: Tall and pale, with long flowing coppery hair. She wears a long leather coat over an aviator's jacket and jodhpurs. She wears heavy goggles with adjustable magnifying lenses, and carries a sword and a pistol on her belt. She also wears leather gloves.
Bio: Captain of the airship Storm Window, and occasional mercenary.

Name: Duan McVara.
Age: 22.
Personality: Polite and friendly, with an enormous amount of patience. Duan is very careful in his work, but doesn't always think before he acts. He is amazing with machines.
Appearance: Duan is of average height and medium build, with long scruffy black hair. He often wears a set of goggles with close-range magnifying lenses for working with tiny gears or delicate wires. He generally wears thick furs and long coats, as well as fingerless mittens.
Bio: Raised on the windswept isle of Loragh, Duan is a trained wind trapper, and is familiar with electricity, an unknown substance elsewhere.

Name: Rhyad Bremner.
Age: 45.
Personality: Rhyad is a brash and loud man, with a lot of courage, and even more laughter. He is predictable and occasionally a little dull, but reliable and stalwart.
Appearance: He is a giant of a man, with a body shape faintly reminiscent of a superhero. His hair is thick and sandy, as is the huge caterpillar moustache that he sports. He has a prominent square chin, and massive hands. he generally dresses in a red tunic with gold buttons and epaulettes. He also has a white sash, trousers, and kid gloves. Basically, he looks a lot like a Rorke's Drift British soldier, except with white trousers instead of black. He carries a very ornate ceremonial sabre.
Bio: he has sailed on the Storm Window since before it was Hannah's. Originally, it belonged to Amadeus Van Haldren, the renowned sky privateer and Hannah's long-lost uncle. Rhyad has not changed much, despite losing many friends and a wife in that time.

Hannah steers the Storm Window down, and the other two leap from the gondola, lashing it to the lamp-posts.
