Dakota: " 'Kay." We left to go to the park.

Brok: I took her hand. "This is gonna be fun!"

Dakota: "Riiiiight. I think you're the first guy I've dated who would be excited to do something like this."

Brok: I laughed. "Come on. You're excited too."

Brok: "Come on! You're excited!"

Dakota: "Mmhm." I gave him a weird look. "Still sure that you aren't gay?"

Brok: I groaned. "Yes! Kota! I'm dating you and you're not a dude!"

Dakota: "Maybe it's a cover-up," I said thoughtfully.

Brok: I groaned. "It's not!"

Dakota: "It could be. It would explain a lot, if you were gay, I mean."

Brok: I rolled my eyes. "But I'm not."

Dakota: I patted his shoulder. "Keep telling yourself that, dear."

Brok: I sighed. "Ugh. Ooh! We're here! Kite time, here we come!"

Dakota: "BROK!!!" I wanted to slam my head against a wall.

Brok: I laughed. "Alright. Sorry. I'll chill out. You wanna go first?"

Brok: I laughed. "You seriously don't like kites, do you?"

Dakota: I shook my head. "Nope."

Brok: "You could have told me," I said. "Okay. One time, and then we'll go do something else."

Dakota: I nodded. "Okay. Go."

Brok: I let the string unwind and ran a lap around the park with the kite. Running felt nice. I didn't get to do it much anymore. "Whoo!" I yelled.

Dakota: I laughed at how happy that made him.

Brok: "Man! I haven't gotten to run in forever!" I exclaimed, stopping beside Dakota. "Your turn."

Dakota: I shook my head. "I don't want to."
