New Kids on the Block

((No, the Necronomicon was written about 1,500 years ago. It should be impossible for her to read it, but the book might decide that it wants her to read it, so she wouldn't notice that it was in a foreign language, and would read it in England. However, near where the name of the school would be is the entry 'Mi-Go'. That should be interesting.))

"Did you ever tell me your name?" asks Carter nonchalantly.

(Okay, thanks. For now, I'm just going to make up a load of creepy demon stuff for that spot, without specifying)

Terra: "No." I reply, as one word catches my attention. The rest appears to be in some foreign language. When I turn to that entry, I frown, and, after reading only a few paragraphs, I'm scared. Very scared.

"So what is your name?" asks Carter. he peers over Terra's shoulder and spots an ink drawing on the page. "Mi-Go? What do you seek to learn about them?"

They are generally scientists, and often take the still-living brains of intelligent species to place them in braincases, and show them what the rest of the universe looks like. They often put the brain back later.))

Terra: "My name is Terra West. And I just saw that name pop out."

(Wait. I thought Carter couldn't read the book?)

"West? i thought it would be something like that. Do you know who Herbert West was... or possibly still is?"

"Are you familiar with his work? i hope you aren't planning any experiments on the re-animation of dead tissue. I hear Dr Halsey is still wandering around killing random strangers."

Terra: "Excuse me? I never met him, for one thing. And for another, that's completely impossible. All of this is completely impossible. If you'll excuse me, I should be going."

"Just remember what you read about the Mi-Go. If the necronomicon lets you read something, you should probably try to remember it. And there are a great many fewer impossible things than you might think."

Terra: I frown and leave the library quickly. But something the odd librarian said sticks in my head. 'Fewer things impossible than you think'...

Name: Frank dawson. (Often just called Dawson)
Age: 19
Appearance: Tall, thin, scraggly beard.
Fears/Obsessions: Folklore, and the Mi-Go. He is also convinced that he is about to find out how to access Mirrorworld (Mirrorworld is one of my inventions, and is used in a locked-room serial killer story).
Degree: Archeology.
Dorm: The room always smells slightly coppery, no mattter what is done. As blood also smells coppery, the effect is slightly unsettling.

Terra: I'm walking quickly back to my dorm when I see someone I recognize. "Oh, hello Dawson." I say.

"Hey," sniffs Dawson. "What's new with the noises in your room?"

Terra: I shrug. "Not much. They're more annoying now than ever. Say, have you ever heard of the Mi-Go?"

"Mi-Go? Like the fungi from, y'know, Yuggoth? Sure I heard of 'em. Why?"

Terra: "oh, they're just fungi? Good. You see there was this creepy old book in the library with these weird alien things... how's the smell in your room?"

"It's still there, but it isn't getting any worse," replies Dawson. "But, like, these Mi-Go aren't like other fungi. They're actual intelligent creatures, y'know. They're, like, responsible for loads of ghost-sightings."

Fears/Obsessions: feras zombies obsessed with not being found by zombies
Degree: Alchemy
Dorm: A room that is completely blood red in the corner there are shadows that seem to be solid they actually lead to the shadow realm. To block it off I used an alchemical transmutation to make a wall.
