West and Carter have already been used. You can use other names, but these will get your character a pretty cool doom.

Name: Ruby Armitage
Age: (18 or higher) 19
Appearance: Curly red hair to her shoulders, a spatter of freckles across her nose, tall and very skinny, has braces and two piercings in each ear, dark brown eyes.
Fears/Obsessions: (Be creative, this helps to drive the horror) Became a sort of agoraphobic after her brother died. She often tries to stay in her room and never, ever goes outside. She had to be blindfolded and earmuffed on the way to the school, and even then she was freaking out. Always has people running errands for her.
Degree: (What are they studying?) Cosmetology, hopes to be a movie make up artist.
Dorm: (All of the characters are staying in the Randolph Carter memorial Hall. Describe how your room is decorated, and any strange quirks. These may help to add to the horror, so be creative. Possibilities include a strange tapping sound like invisible claws on the floorboards, a window that shows a different plane of existence, or even something really subtle like walls and ceiling that create a strange angle in one corner of the room)
The walls are unpainted. Everything is spotless as she believes things from outside will harm her in some way. There are five locks on her door, three of which are chains, and her stuff remains in her only bag as she doesn't quite trust the furniture. She has a few fashion magazines filling the cracks in her door and covering her windows, left over from when she was a popular girl before her brother's death. When she wakes up, they're always ripped off and tossed around the room, and she'll sometimes spend the whole day trying to put her room back in order.

"Might be," replies dawson. "That'd be well freaky." His eyes unfocus slightly and he stares into space for a moment. "Intelligent fungi. It's 'cause they're, like, really tough and leathery, but also really soft. they share a lot of stuff with fungi."

((@ Condog. No. He might just go permanently insane. As he's a Jermyn, there's a reasonable chance that he will be driven to suicide. The Jermyn family have a pretty grim past. ))

I sit in my room looking at the smooth and rough at the same time surface that kept me away from the shadow dimension. I wanted to change rooms but there were no free ones unless I wanted a roomate, and that wouldnt do especially since my major was alchemy.

((Why not visit the library? You might run into Ruby. Either that or go to talk to Dawson and Terra.))

Conor:
I stand and walk to the library I need to get out the room with that awful presence. It makes me shudder as I pass.

Carter the librarian stares fiercely at the book in front of him.
"What do you know?" he hisses.

Conor:
I see the librarian talking to a book so I figure I'll play a joke on him. I casually walk by and transmute his desk to water without being noticed.

Ruby: I curse loudly as my hands fall away from my pile of books. Of course the only thing I really need isn't here. Of-freaking-course. It's probably in my room, right where I left it in between a copy of Vogue and the book holder. I rub my hand over my face, running through every option in my mind. I can't call mom back; she's probably halfway back to New York by now. And it definately won't get here soon enoug by mail...
Eventually, I ease myself off the bed and head over to the door, my fingers trembling as I remove piece after piece of magazine. The library would have a copy, right? And it's not that far away. I'll just make a quick run over there and be back before anything bad happened. I mean, it's the library for Pete's sake.
I gulp as I open the door. That seriously couldn't have sounded less convincing.

Conor:
I look around browsing the shelves for something to read, not really caring what I find. I yawn and just sit on a couch and listen to my iPod.

"Stupid boy," growls Carter. "Playing with dark magicks." he frowns. "Are you gonna put that back?"

Ruby: When I walk into the library, a pretty POed looking guy is arguing with someone else. There aren't too many others here, so hopefully one of them's the librarian. "Excuse me?" I call from the entrance. Easy escape just in case.

"Yes?" asks Carter, suddenly all smiles. "How can I help you, m'dear?"

Ruby: "Eh..." Whoa, can you say bipolar much? I take a step back. "Do you know where I can find Stoker's books?"
