C. D. - character development

Jacob:
"Yeah right, and I'm the God damn Wizard of Oz. My heart beat sensor is out. Are you Vamps? Or werewolves? Or just humans? I need a straight answer and none of your funny business!" I growl. I flick my M16 off safe. The computer in my head puts targeting sights on all of the potential enemies.

Leslie

"No, seriously," I told him. "But if you want specifics, they're all humans. ...Okay, that one's a dragon now, but she used to be human. I'm effectively the only non-human here. Does that satisfy you?"

Jacob:
"How can I trust your word? Prove that your a demon!" I say. I sight in on the demon now.

Leslie

"Okay," I said with a shrug, taking off the glamour that was hiding my wings; the appendages unfurled in a burst of black feathers. I gave them a couple of slow flaps, just to really let it sink in. "Take a gander, pal," I told him. "How's this for you?"

Jacob:
My jaw drops but I remain calm. "I guess" I say. I lower my gun. "Where am I?"

Leslie

"I'd tell you if I knew," I said with a shrug. "We just sorta magic'd our way here. We're tracking the angel, see...and you're kinda holding us up. If she gets back to Heaven before we catch her, we'll be back to square one!"

Jacob:
"Why would you try to obstruct an angel of the Lord?" I ask. I was a Catholic, most people were in my world. It depended on what religion that vampires had been when they changed but crosses and occasionally Torahs would make vampires fear for their lives. It was mental not a physical that caused the pain from crosses and Torahs.

Leslie

"Angel of the--hahaha!" I laughed, shaking my head. "Oh my...there's so much you don't know..." I started to regain my composure. "Seriously though, quit holding us up."

Jacob:
"Fine since what you've said makes me think the angel kidnapped someones friend. I'll help. I heard someone say that you needed a sniper?" I ask. I then quickly unload my M16, and dissasemble the weapon with expert skill. I then toss it into my pack. I pull out several other parts of a weapon. I quickly assemble and load the gun. I hold out an M40 sniper rifle. "Now then, who am I shooting?"

Leslie

Hey, this was actually a considerable help! It was amazing that this guy trusted me so readily... I could've been lying, for all he knew.

"The angel," I said. "I appreciate this a lot, by the way. Anyway, shoot to kill. She won't actually die, in case you're worried. But we need to 'kill' her before she can cast a spell and elude us again."

(Hey, I need to know what landscape we are in, like city or forrest or something so that Jacob can use either a tree or a building as I sniping spot)
Jacob:
I nod. "Here" I say handing Leslie a two way radio. "I'll use this to tell you when I have found the angel and taken it out"

((I'm going to say forest. I like forests ))

Leslie

"Sure thing," I said. "Thanks a lot for this...uh...what's your name?"

Jacob:
Instead of giving my real name I give my call sign, "Jackel" I say. I then run off towards a tall tree. I climb up the tree and begin searching the forest floor. I see a girl that looks human but has wings. I grab my two way and say, "Demon, this is Jackel. I have found the angel but I see no one with her"

Leslie

"Demon to Jackel, he's a ghost," I said. "You can't see him, but he's there, believe me. She wouldn't let him out of her sight."

Jacob:
I say over the radio, "Copy, targeting the angel now" I sight in on the angels head. "Firing" I say. Then I squeeze the trigger and the bullet flies from the barrel.

Somewhere in the forest

Suddenly, and with barely any noise, Aria went down. Just like that. Her spectre stood up, a glowing golden figure with shimmering, ethereal wings, invisible to mortals.

"DAMMIT!" she cursed. She couldn't touch the ghost now...or something might happen. The angels were never sure...and neither were the demons, for that matter...but it was never good to experiment. Cursing wildly, Aria spread her wings. In a burst of light, she was gone, leaving only her empty body on the ground.

Jacob:
I use the radio and say, "Demon. The angel is down. I still don't see anyone"

Leslie

"That's because you're mortal," I explained. "But good, thank you! I'll be right over."


((And now we wait for Gh...))

(Hmm... I suppose)

Ventrix paces over to the corpse and hacks the head off in one blow.
"Mine," he says, grabbing it by the hair.

Andrew starred at the corpse stunned, "What the heck just happened?"

Ezra slid off Liz's back, "Alot Andrew...alot."

Liz shifted back into a human, running over to Andrew. "Andrew!" she shouted, knocking him back. "Are you okay? Did she hurt you? What-" she rambled.

"Oof! Yeah, yeah I'm okay," said Andrew, patting her on the head. He looked distracted.

Leslie

"We got a volunteer sniper, Andrew," I explained. "He calls himself Jackal. We just sorta ran into each other, and he said he'd shoot Aria for us. So he did. Yaaaay, now you can move on, right?"

Jacob:
I pull my 9mm from its holster after jumping out of the tree. I point it at Ventrix. "DROP IT! Desecating a bodie is just wrong. Besides now the body is in the possesion of whatever government she came from. That is the Unite State's agreement with the rest of the world for international convicts"

Leslie

"Well, she came from the crapsack monarchy in Heaven," I said. "And they won't care one way or another. They don't care about their subjects in the least. Besides, soon enough she'll get somebody to cast a spell for her, and then that body there will break down and re-form all nice and perfect again. She'll jump back in and resume whatever business she was carrying out before."

"And you have wings...." Andrew mused, a bit surprised.

"Yeah! And look what I can do!" Liz stepped back, shifting into a dragon. She towered over Andrew.

"And you're a dragon..." noted Andrew, swaying slightly. This was all too much for him "How...how did all this happen?"
