Echo: "You did now," I say. "But why are you here?" I fold my arms across my chest, still leaning against the tree. I wish Talon was here. Then I wouldn't have to talk to him.

Kaden: "Rozenn told me to find you," I say. She appears rather annoyed with me, which is normal. I don't understand why she is made at me. It is very strange to me..

Echo: "Why?" I ask, a bit annoyed with both Rozenn and Kaden. He didn't have to come find me, but yet he did. Weird, I think as I turn to the brook.

Kaden: "I don't know," I mutter, following her gaze.

Annaleah: A girl of about fourteen wandered alongside a brook, looking dreamily up at the summer leaves that had started to fade into autumn's gold. She stopped in her tracks when she heard someone talking, and looked around.

Annaleah: There they were again. Her heart started to beat a little faster. Cricket had often warned her about robbers that hid away in the woods, and maybe he was right: she'd better be cautious. She crept silently through the brush, carefully watching. She finally stopped when she peeked from behind a tree to see two people chatting near the brook. They don't look dangerous....

Echo: I tilt my head to the side, listening for the noise I just heard. Kaden looks at me with his eyebrows scrunched together. The noise has stopped, but I stay alert for the rest of the time.

Kaden: "What?" I ask, wondering what is wrong with Echo. I turn around and notice a girl peeking at up from behind a tree.
"Hello?" I call as I begin to approach her.

Annaleah: She steps out from behind the tree and blushes. "Hello," she says hesitantly, "Sorry...I thought I was alone, and when I heard people talking it scared me." She smiled. "You've got to be careful with people around here. But you two look nice, anyhow."

Echo: "Yeah, I know," I mutter. Since leaving Region 17, my life has changed so much. The people I live around are so trusting, so happy.
So different from home.
