Battle of the Bands Character Chat

Timm: "You're not acting like all glitter and rainbows, dear."

Lilly: I was confused, weren't we talking about the same thing? Just go with it, Lilly. "Mmhmm, yeah."

Wayne: "Hope something better comes on soon. So, when can I hear your band play?"

Lilly: "Not my band, I'm not in it really. But we already performed yesterday, so I guess next round?"

Wayne: "Oh," I said. "Brick by Brick, right? It reminds me of that song by Paramore."

Lilly: I blinked. Should I just pretend that I know what he's talking about? That's what I do with Ben. "Oh, yeah...mmhmm...."

Wayne: "You know. Brick by Boring Brick. Have you listened to it before?"

Lilly: I hesitated, then shook my head. "No. Sorry." How dull I was.

Wayne: I pulled my iPod out. "We can go somewhere a little quieter and listen to it."

Alice: I smiled. "What do you like in a girl then?" I asked

Lilly: I glanced around -- no sign of Ben. So I nodded. "Okay, let's do that."

Timm: "Everything."

Wayne: I smiled and we walked over to a lonelier corner.

Alice: I raised my eyebrows. "Nothing stands out to you does it?" I leaned again a wall and took a deep breath. Well I feel like a slut. I thought.

Lilly: I followed him over to the corner.

Timm: "Takes a special girl to stand out."

Wayne: I handed her an earphone.

Alice: I nodded. Of course... yay another rejection. I sat on the floor. "I need to change big time." I said.

Timm: "Why?"

Lilly: I carefully took it and put it into my ear, tucking my blonde hair behind my ear so it was out of the way.

Wayne: I played the song. It had nothing to do with her band, probably, but oh well.

Lilly: When the song was over, I took out the earbud to hand it back to him. "That's a nice song."

Alice: I looked up at him and smiled. "I hate skirts... I only wear them on stage. And I hate this top... I want to change into my black skinny jeans and my Linkin Park shirt." I said looking away

Wayne: "It's certainly interesting," I said. "Anyway, yeah." And now...awkward silence.

Timm: "Then change," I said.

Lilly: My eyes fell to the floor. "I'm not very good with people, I'm sorry. Well, Ben says I'm not. But I know I'm not too. I mean, I do this rambling thing a lot...like right now, for example. Usually when I'm nervous..."
