"I've riden with him. He's safe...enough. He's been riding for years. Give him a break. Give her a break for trusting him." Madeline sighed.

"We'll see," Devon said, looking to be in thought. He sat down in a chair and tapped the arm, something that helped him think.

Carly thought about it...Derek always teased her and gave her special attention -- though he really teased every girl in the house. But he opened up to her a little, about all the druggie stuff, and he seemed to trust her. So maybe it was time that she trusted him in return. Carly walked across the hall and knocked on his door. "Derek?" She said quietly.

Derek looked up from the pack of cigerets in his hand. "Yeah?" He called to her, putting the pack down and walking over to open the door. "What?" He leaned against the door jam and looked at her.

"I wanted to apologize." Carly took a deep breath, her hands clasped behind her back kind of nervously. "For not trusting you. You trust me all the time with stuff, like being a druggie...and it's not fair that I didn't believe you about...you know. So I'm sorry."

"Really?" Derek raised an eye brow at her. "Well...thats good i guess." He walked away from the door and sat back down on his bed and shifted the cigerets. "You know, i'm thinking about trying to give up on smoking...again."

Teagan fell asleep soon after, only slightly aware that she was still leaning on him. His head rested on hers and his breather grew shallow as his sleep became deeper. Until now, he had only thought of Cici as a friend, sort of like a little sister. But, maybe that's changed a little.

Cici curled closer to Teagan as she sleapt. Part of her knew she shouldn't act like this, even in her sleep, but she couldn't stop herself. He felt safe right now as she slept.

Teagan woke up around 3:30 in the morning, rubbing his eyes with his free hand and saw that Cici was still right next to him. He noticed that his arm wasn't on her shoulder anymore, but around her waist. For some reason, despite his tiredness, he couldn't fall asleep.

Cici felt him stir next to her and got up slowly. "Oh..." she noticed his hand on her waist and blushed lightly. This was slightly awkward.

Teagan heard her say something and he stood, getting up and going to his actual mattress. Cici had a blanket and pillow, if she wanted to stay. He didn't say anything, mostly because he didn't have anything to say. Instead, he laid down, closing his eyes.

Cici watched him, half asleep. She took the pillow and blanket and fell asleep on the couch.

Carly nodded and stayed in the doorway, leaning against the doorframe slightly. She attempted to lighten the mood -- "That's good, since like I said: kissing a smoker is like licking an ash tray."

"I know." She probably didnt understand how hard this was going to be for him.

Carly rolled her eyes and went to sit with him. "I was kidding, Derek. It wasn't that bad."

"It's just gonna be hard." He shrugged. But he had a good reason.

"Why'd you decide to quit all the sudden?" Carly asked, studying his face.

"I guess talking to you knocked some sense into me on how stupid i was being." He shrugged. "I dont want to continue destroying myself."

Carly nodded. "It'll be pretty hard to stop, though, won't it? On tv shows and everything, when people try to stop being hooked on cigarettes it's not easy."

"It wont be. I tried a couple months ago, befor joining the group, and i just couldnt." He sighed.

"If I could help I would...but there's not really much I can do," Carly guessed.

"Well...if you do see me smoking...i dunno slap me or something." Derek offered, thinking.

"Slap you? Gladly," Carly teased, smirking slightly.

Derek laughed lightly and smiled to her. "Glad you are exited to bring me pain."

"Always." Carly laughed, too. "Even though I think it's your turn to get revenge, isn't it? For...when...I can't remember what I did."

"When you kicked me when I poked your sides." Derek reminded her, laughing lightly. "ANd dont worry, I will. When you arent expecting it." He teased her.
