Max: I shrugged. "I say a lot of mean things too."

"I don't say a lot of mean things!" Dana said, her eyes going a little wide.

Max: I frowned. "Sorry. That's not what I meant to say. I meant to say that everyone says mean things once in a while. Not that you say mean things a lot. I didn't mean that..."

"Right, I forgot your words come out funny sometimes," Dana said.

Max: I shrugged. "Yeah. I don't know. It's weird. I don't really know why. But...yeah."

"You just aren't a word person," Dana decided.

Max: I nodded. "Yeah. I guess I'm more of a visual person." Most guys were.

"That's interesting," Dana said with a nod.

Max: I shrugged. "No, not really. Most guys are really visual. Don't you know the saying about guys falling in love with what they see and girls with what they hear?"

"Yeah, but I don't think they really ... connect. It's more like guys look for girls who look like they stepped out of Playboy magazine, and girls just want someone to be nice to them -- but we still like hot guys."

Max: I shrugged. "I don't know." I didn't really look for romance. Not anymore, anyway. "I'm not like most guys."

"Good to know, except your visual like you say most guys are," Dana said, rambling so she wouldn't walk off.

Max: I shrugged. "Well, yeah. So? Most guys are the same."

I nodded. Way to repeat what he'd said like five minutes ago, now I had nothing to say.

(*slaps Max*)

Max: "So, uh...you hungry? I am. I think they're cooking something downstairs."

Dana: "We are downstairs, we're in the living room."

Max: I frowned. "Oh. Right. Uh, then...wanna check the kitchen?"

"Okay?" Dana said and turned to go to the kitchen.

Max: I followed her.

(Kai and Nikkie are in the kitchen. They're cooking soup.)

(I know. So do you want to pause or something?)

(Well I'm about to leave, so yeah.)

"I can make you something. Eggs? Pancakes? Cereal?" cici asked him,already heating up the stove.

Derek nodded to her and smiled. "Yeah. If it works."
