Max: "What? No!" I groaned. I hated going first. I was NOT going first!

Carly smiled and wrapped her arms around him -- holding on. She was happy for an excuse to touch him, even if she wouldn't admit it.

"Rock paper scissors? Loser goes first," Dana suggested.

Derek sped up quickly once she held on and weaved down the street. They lived a little ways away from the pool, but with his reckless drivign they were there in seconds.

Max: I sighed. "Fine."

Carly grinned and hopped off when they got there. "That was awesome!"

Dana picked scissors.

"Glad i didnt freak you out to much." He laughed. Though he would have loved it if she did get freaked out and gripped on tighter to him.

"No, just don't tell Devon, mmkay?" Carly hoped to ride the motorcycle again sometime, and if Devon found out then that definitely wouldn't happen.

"I wouldnt dream of telling him...I fear he might take away my bike if he found out I gave you a ride on it. He's told me he doesnt want you riding it. But I dont honestly care if he doesnt." Derek shrugged and pulled out his pool pass. "Do you have a pool pass?" He asked, wondering if he would have to pay or not for her.

Carly rolled her eyes and pulled out her pass. "Duh. And how did the topic of me riding it come up?"

"It came up when i got the bike." Derek shrugged. "Cool. Lets head in." He grabbed their bags and put the helmets away before leading her to the gate.

They flashed their passes then walked inside. . .

wow....nice spired.

"So, what do you wanna do?" Derek asked before dumping his stuff on a chair in teh shade and pulling off his shirt and kicking off his shoes.

Carly claimed a chair next to his, and pulled off her top and shorts. "Swim, obviously. Didn't you want to get your times faster...or something?"

(Yes! I picked rock! I'm not even kidding!)

Max: "I win."

(Sorry! I meant to elaborate.)

Max: I grinned. "I win." Hm. This better be good. I actually found myself smiling as I waited for her to answer me.

Dana frowned. She almost called best two out of three, but decided against it. "I'm running from someone." Was that to vague?

Derek nodded and stretched slightly to rid himself of the stiff joints. "Yeah, it should only take me a couple minutes or so.I just wanna try to get faster."

Max: I nodded. "Mmhm? And?" That was pretty vague. Maybe I should just let her not say too much. But I was a little curious.

"I'll watch." Carly moved her chair into the sun, a little tiny bit of tanning time wouldn't hurt.

"And that someone...is my boyfriend. Well, ex...it's complicated," Dana said, any trace of a smile fading completely.

Derek went to the swimming lanes and dove in, taking off quickly. HIs strokes where fast and powerfull, taking him to the other end of the pool quickly. His flip-change was perfect and helpful. When he got to the other end of the pool, he splash carly while he stopped and checked the timer he set. "so close." He muttered mainly to himself.

"Hey!" Carly squealed, but giggled. She stood up and went over to the edge of the pool. "What was your time?"

" point two seconds slower then what i wanted it to be." Derek sighed. "Oh well, i can try again later." He shrugged getting out of the water and tossing the timer on his bag.
