The Academy Is...

ummm....erm...we've arleady turned away two others. So, sorry, but no.

Arlo follwed her inside and into the music room. "You won't shake me that easily. Do you play?" He asked, sitting beside her, his fingers running over the ivory keys.

"no. I never learned." Anastasia shook her head and shifted over to leave some space between them. "Do you?" She asked him and watched him placed slide over the ivory keys.

"Yeah, a little," he said, starting on one of the symphonies that Beethoven had written. He played with speed and accuracy that was inhuman... Some might even call it... Angelic. Wow, bad angel joke right there. "I'm good with a harp, too."

"A little?" Anastasia laughed watching him play. "What are you?" She laughed and watched him play. It was so pretty.

"An... Um, Angel," Arlo said and then presented her with a bright smile.

"an...Angel? Like...wings and everything?!" Anastasia stammered looking at him agast. She had met vampires and what not...but never an angel. "Thats...um...Thats cool!"

Arlo grinned. "Yeah, with the wings and everything," he laughed. "And um... Thanks! No one has ever said it was cool," he said happily.

"Can i...um..can i see them?" Anastasia asked sheepishly and awkwardly. She had always admired Angels and their wings. Or atleast what she read from books and saw in pictures.

"Sure," Arlo said with a smile. He stood up, lifting the back of his shirt and letting out his wings. They were at least 15 feet across and a pure white color, all of his feathers in order.

"Oh...wow." Anastasia gasped seeing them. She reached out to touch them, but stopped herself. She didnt need another wave of his power. "They are amazing."

James chuckled and rolled his eyes, his smile bright. "Well, that's a relief."

Leada nodded. She wished she could sympathize with him, but there really was no way that she could. Her life had been normal up until the time she registered for this school. A simple ability to control water was easily hid.

"It hasnt been all bad though," Drew commented. "I did get to meet a lot of people and see many fascinating places." He smiled at the slight memories that came back to him.

Leada nodded, smiling softly. "Like I said, that sounds amazing." She stood up, brushing the back of her pants off in the process. "Well, it was nice to meet you, but I have to go shower."

"Alright," Drew nodded and smiled up to her. "Glad I could meet you." He politely nodded to her as she stood.

Leada smiled down at him. "There's a party later on tonight. You going to be there?"

Drew shrugged and he looked over to her. "Maybe." He leaned back and looked up taht the sky.

Leada gave a small smile as she started to walk away. "You better," she called over her shoulder before taking off at a light jog.

Lucia bit her lip and smiled happily. "So are you going to the party later tonight," She asked, cocking her head. She still hadn't decided if she was going or not.

Arlo looked at her, seeing how she hestitated and put up a power block. "You can touch them now," he said with a smile.

James snorted. "Well I'd hope so, given the fact that it's my party."

Drew laughed lightly as she ran off and smiled to her. "I'll try my best!" He called to her as she ran off.

Anastasia ran her hand over his wings gently. "They are amazing." She told him softly.

"You never know. I've missed a few of my own parties," Lucia smirked a little.

"Thanks," Arlo said, his eyes shining.

Anastasia pulled her hand away from the wings and sat back down at the piano. She was glad that he could block her powers. It made her feel safe.

James chuckled, shaking his head. "Now that's just sad."

Leada laughed softly to herself. When she made it to her room, she looked around in dispare. Her roommate had moved out a couple of days ago and she was due to get a new one soon. Sighing, she took a quick shower, careful to get all the dirt and sweat out of her hair.
