Jason smiled as he pulled the keys out of the ignition and stuck them in his pocket. He scrambled out of the car and followed Ginger into the parking lot.

Jason held the door of the restaurant open for her as he anwered, "Not really. We went to the beach, but other then that we stayed home all summer."

Jason followed her to a table, realizing a waitress was not going to assign them one. He thought as he pulled a chair out for Ginger. As she sat he told her, "Ireland. I would go to Ireland."

Jason went around to the other side of the table and took the seat there. "My mom's family came from Ireland. I've heard it's absolutely beautiful there, like your grandparents said, and I feel like I'd be missing out of I didn't go visit."

I smiled and nodded. But I couldn't hide the fact that I hadn't a clue what she was talking about and my curiousity got the best of me. "What's Dr. Who? And the Torch Wood?" I asked.

"What's Doctor who!? Only the greatest tv show ever!" Ginger gasped. How could he be her best friend and not know the show? "Torch Wood is also pretty fantastic. Captain Jack is so..." she had almost said dreamy, a word she suddenly felt embarrassed to use with him. "Brilliant."

Jason chuckled. "I guess I can't wait to see it then," he said. They were interrupted by a waitress approaching them.
In a happy monotone she said, "Hi, my name is Gladis and I'll be your server today. Can I get you something to drink?" She quickly pulled out a note pad and pen. Her pen poised itself over the paper, ready to jot down their orders in a scribbly scrawl.

Jason was surprised that she already knew what she wanted. He scanned the menu once, now slightly regretting getting too caught up in conversation. "Umm," he muttered then looked up at the expectant waitress, "I'll have the same. And a sweet tea, please."
