Sound of Madness

Devon knew he was being stupid. A pretty girl wanted, to well, do it with him. He should just go with it.

Demi brought his hands to the bottom of her shirt and just smiled up to him.

Devon hesitated but then blinked that away and plastered on his usual confidence, pulling off her shirt then working at her jeans.

Demi's hands went to his belt and started taking it off. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she unbuttoned his jeans.

"You sure you want this?" Devon whispered in her ear, just in case.

"Positive." Shivers went down her back when he whispered in her ear.

(time lapsssse? maybe do something with Derek and Carly? I don't think they should get back together yet, but maybe try and rebuild their friendship somehow?)

(lol sure....hmm..what to do with those too...)

Derek wandered down the stairs and out side. He pulled out a ciggarette and lit it.

(I think they're almost going to be come enemies first >_> because Carly isn't going to let him go back to being self-destructive)

"Why are you being so stupid?" Carly asked, she was already out there, on the swing like usual. She meant smoking as being stupid.

"It's my nature to be stupid." Derek mubled softly.

Carly rolled her eyes. "No, it's in your attitude. Quit trying to sound all gloomy and meaningful."

"Is it working?" Derek chuckled softly and just shook his head.

Carly let out a deep breath. "Why do I bother," She mumbled to herself.

"Because you love me." Derek joked. "Or I thought you did. you said you did. But i guess that was a lie." HIs tone became very serious.

Carly's expression turned stony to mask her surprise that he brought that up. "Sometimes peoples' feelings change."

"Yea. And sometimes people can be cold hearted bitches as well." He mumbled.

Carly's mouth worked up and down, she wanted to slap him, but she restrained herself and just gritted her teeth. "You think I'm a cold-hearted bitch?!"

"I think it sums up my feelings for you right now." Derek nodded and looked down at the ciggarette in his hand.

(Is it bad that I am laughing right now? Derek can be so...douchey.)

"Thanks, bud," Carly said extremely sarcastically, with a fake smile to match. "Looks like you're the one who lied about love, then."

"Yup. Total lie." Derek forced a strait face.

"Good to know," Carly whispered, her voice going weak as her heart broke and a tear dribbled down her cheek. She didn't bother to wipe it away. Maybe he'd be happy now, now that she was hurting.

Derek noticed tears fall down her face and forced his emotions away.

"And to think I was starting to second guess myself, to think that I'd made a mistake. Starting to think that maybe," Carly stood up. "Just maybe, I shouldn't have broken up with you. That I was dumb. Thanks for making it clear that I made the right decision, after all.

"Glad I can help you with that." Derek laughed horsly.

(*smacks derek* you are very bad right now. and not in a good way.)

"I bet you are," Carly said, having nothing better to say, and slamming the front door on her way inside. She ran up to her bedroom and slammed /that/ door, too.
