AD...don't lock this again please

Lorrick couldn't help the smile that snuck onto his lips. It had been so long since he had heard her voice carry on a song, so long since he had watched her fingers pick at guitar cords. He hadn't realized how much he missed it. "Isn't that better?" he teased, watching her face.

Caleb
"You can get something for yourself you know. If you're hungry." I frown slightly, moving back to the kitchen and taking out the still warm left overs from the fridge. "I didn't think basic needs had to be forced upon you."

Malakai
On alert immediately. I quickly set the plate down (lol). Many rethink their motives when they see an angel, and I'm up quickly and between Benet and the man quickly. Eyes narrowed at the potential threat, splaying my wings to protect Benet from any projectiles.

Kylia looked up at him smiling, her eyes sparkling. She noticed the store had gone quiet and she blushed and quickly took the guitar off and put it back, hiding behind him slightly.

Hunter stared at him. "Shouldn't you be sleeping?" She asked a little curtly.

The guy on the other side of the door laughed, or cackled, however you wanted to look at it. He was a big guy, his black hair spiked and greasy. He practically filled up the doorway, his arms crossed over his chest, as he looked down at the angel. "Wow, Benny," his voice rummbled. "You called an angel. How's it feel to have your ass protected by a scrawny little thing like this?"
Ben's jaw twitched as he placed his hand on Malakai's shoulder and gently pushed her away. "This guy's barely a threat," he muttered to her. "Just a messanger." He turned to the guy, his poker face slammed into place. "What do you want, Derek?"

Lorrick laughed, his face brightening with a smile as he pulled Kylia into his arms and kissed her cheek. "Lemme buy the guitar for you," he murmured into her ear, the smile still on his lips.

Kylia almost melted in his arms and gave a small smile. She wanted him to, so bad she wanted him to buy the guitar. "I couldn't let you do that. It's expensive. We need the money for other things."

Caleb
I fork some out onto a plate and put the rest into the fridge again, going out to the living room with it and offering it to her. "Shouldn't you be eating?" I ask her, just as curtly but with a slight smile.

Malakai
Scrawny and little could beat your ass you son of a -
Bennet pushes me away and i take a breath, my lips pursed annoyed. He should not trust my innocent air, as so many have said I possess, so much. I stay up though, move off to the corner and out of the way, though close if it turned bad. My wings fold stiffly, vibrating in my annoyance.

Derek grinned, but something was hiding behind it, something vicious, blood-thirsty. "I'm here to tell you that the Gang's tired of waiting. You have a choice to make, and I'm here to collect your answer." He reached into his waistband and pulled out a gun, cocking it and placing the muzzle on Ben's chest. "If it's the wrong answer, I have direct orders to put a bullet right here." He tapped the gun on his chest a few times, right where his heart should be.
"Wow, Derek," Ben said, his voice wavering only slightly. "How's it feel to finally hold a gun that's loaded with bullets instead of water?"
A growl ripped through Derek's throat as he took the butt of the gun and swung it, making contact with Ben's cheek.

Hunter raised a brow at him. "I don't have to eat. I can live without it." But that plate of food really did smell good....she was hesitant to take it though, afraid it was a trick of some sort. Like he'd hit her for eating his food or something.

Lorrick laughed softly and pulled back, only so she could see him give her a small wink. "GWC funds."

Kylia raised her brow at him and smiled. "Alright," she said a little hesitantly. Inside she was like a little girl on christmas that got the pony she had asked for. Her eyes were sparkling happily.

Lorrick smiled, seeing the joy in her eyes, the excitment. It warmed him to see that again. He reached over and picked up the guitar she had been playing, handing it to her. "This one?" he asked.

Malakai
I grab his wrist tightly, too tight to pull out of. "You do not hurt my master," i hiss at him, though despite the malice in my voice my face remains placid. I stare up at him wide eyed, an innocent face. I hear things creaking beneath my hand. I would guess that it would hurt. Good. Drop the gun, silly oaf.
"Orders?" I ask Ben quietly, nails bringing blood to the oaf's wrist. A wing splayed out to protect Ben of anything else the idiot would like to try in my presence.

Caleb
"What? You a toddler or something? Do I have to feed you?" I tease lightly, setting the plate in her lap with the fork. I stand up straight, cross my arms and sigh.

Hunter stared at him. "I'll eat in a bit. I'm not hungry just yet. You should sleep." She said as she set the plate aside. She'd wait till he was asleep, then she'd eat. It was always safer that way.

Kylia smiled down at the guitar and nodded. "Yes, this one." She said as she stroked it's smooth, glossy surface. She bit her lip, as she looked up at him, trying not to smile to big, trying to contain her excitement.

Caleb
I stay put, giving her a look. "Eat it," i order, not liking the feeling it gave.

Hunter sighed, forced to obey, she picked it up and took a small bite, almost cringing, waiting for some sort of reprimand. Almost though. Not quiet.

Caleb
I shake my head with a smile. "You need something, you get it, alright? And you should sleep too you know. No staying up all night. Keeps up your strength, right? How should you protect me if you're weak from starvation or something?" I ask her, teasing still. Though a good point.

Hunter raised a brow at him. He'd be surprised how long she could go. "Yes, Caleb." She murmered and took another bite of food.

Lorrick chuckled as they walked to the cashier and bought the gutiar. Seeing the joy on her face, after it had been absent for so long, made the smile on his face grow. ''Wbere to now?'' he asked as they walked outside.

The skin on bens cheek was busted open, blood running down his neck, soaking into the collar of his t-shirt. He whipped it away, wincing slightly. ''yeah,'' he muttered. ''let the bastard go.'' he looked up at derek who was writhing in pain. ''tell the gang my answer is no. Im sure they can figure out the reason themselves.''

"The park?" Kylia asked eagerly with a smile. Then her face dropped slightly. "Is there a park?"

Caleb
I stand quietly, letting my arms fall to my sides. I sigh wearily. Didn't know angels would be this much work. "Take care of yourself too, Hunter," i murmur, moving off back to my bedroom.

Malakai
I throw his wrist away, bending down to pick up his gun. Moving back a step, still between him and Ben.

Lorrick shrugged, taking her free hand in his. "Not sure, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough," he said, starting to walk down the sidewalk.

Ben stood there, his eyes locked with Derek's over Malakai's shoulder. Derek's wrist was hanging awkwardly at his side, pain shooting through his arm, although his face was clear of any emotion other than pure rage. "You're angel can't protect you for very long," he growled, his threat weak. "One of these days, the Gang's going to get tired of playing games." A cruel, twisted smile came over his features as he backed down the hallway. "Then I'll finally be able to mop the streets with your blood." With that last 'threat', Derek walked away, leaving them be.

Malakai folds in her wings neatly, her feathers still slightly shaking with annoyance. She turns, looking down at Bennet and his bleeding cheek. Squatting down to be at his level on the floor, she crosses her arms over her knees and rests her cheek on them. Keeping her odd air of innocence despite the man's blood on her fingertips. "Should we move locations?" She asks, her voice empty of emotion.

Ben shook his head, smiling slightly, his cheek bleeding more at the slight movement. "Nah, he'll just find me again," he sighed, walking into the bathroom and grabbing a wet rag. "Derek didn't hurt you at all, did he?" he couldn't help but ask.

Malakai follows him, hanging in the doorway and looks down at her hand. "No," she murmurs, her wings adjusting. She sighs annoyed, looking at Ben in the mirror.
