The Facility

"I know that!" Abby scoffed, though her body didn't show it, she was glad that he was here. The runt was fun to talk to, it gave her something to do. "So, whaddya going to draw today?"

Cole grinned mischievously, he was looking for a fight. "Hmm, he jotted down a quick piture and banded it to her. It showed her about to run off a cliff.

Though the artwork was beautiful, Abby wasn't all too pleased with the contents of the drawing. Her instincts told her to rip the kids head off and gorge his eyes out with his pencil, but she actually collected herself and found another way to relieve herself. "Gimme a piece of paper, and a pencil too. I wanna draw."

Cole raised an eyebrow but did as she asked.

Abby quickly scratched and squiggled on the piece of paper, she wasn't a very good artist but she didn't need to to draw a similar picture he drew earlier of her but this time it was him. "Ha!" she said as she shoved the crude drawing in his face. "Take that!"

Coles face turned red from withheld laughter. "What is it?"

Abby burrowed her brow. "It's you!"

Cole tilted the picture and rose his brow, "really?" He knew perfectly well what it was....

Abby sighed and grabbed the paper out of his hand and crumpled it. "Okay okay! Jeesh, didn't know it was that hard to figure out what it was."
She then threw up in the air and threw a fireball at it, burning the paper to a crisp. "Man oh man..."
Abby didn't feel like bugging Cole much, so she just let him so whatever as she hummed a happy song.
Last Friday night

Cole shook his head chuckling and pulled the drawing he'd been working on before she came from the stack "This a better one?" He asked referring to the fact it was of a fire eating his house and not her jumping off a cliff.

Abby looked at the picture for a second, stopping her singing. She laughed loudly, glad that this kid had the same humor as she did. "That's good! Do more drawings like that and I'll call you the New Picasso!"

Cole chuckled and leaned back in his chair. "Look around..." he gestured at the room that was full of pictures like the one in her hand.

Abby was shocked, she didn't really notice the other pictures around the room before. I must be really losing it. "Well I'll be d***ed. You are a New Picasso!"

Cole chuckled again, flipping a flame between his fingers. "Thanks."

Abby stared at his flame coming from his fingers, she let out a sigh and sat on the middle of the floor. Staring up at the ceiling. "Hey, how well can you control your powers?" she asked, counting the tiles on the ceiling.
"I mean, mine suck, but I got them pretty much under control...well, 'cept for my temper. And you seem to have the same problem, well after I drove you to almost killing me...I guess what I'm trying to say is--" she paused herself.
What was I trying to say?

Cole was silent for a moment. "Barely." He said finally. "I can barely control them."

Abby looked over at him. "Then how come you can do all that cool tricks when all I can do is throw balls?" she was confused. I mean, it probably was because they both had different powers, but somehow she wanted cool powers like him.
"Teach me."

Cole glanced at her, "Because I can hear the voice of the flames." He rubbed his neck at her request. "I Donno...."

Abby furrowed her brow. "So? Who cares! Teach me how to do it!" Why am I asking him? He doesn't know how to even control them, how is he suppose to teach me? "Ugh, never mind."
She sighed and began thinking about other things. "Any cute guys here?"

Cole growled under his breath, girls... "How am I spose to know? I am a Guy."

Abby knew it was a dumb question, but she couldn't help it. She hanged around a lot of boy crazy girls back at her school. So it wasn't a norm for her to not be flirting with some 20 year old right now. Heck, it was out of the norm that she was hanging out with a runt! "I dunno, I just thought. You don't like my company anyway, so why not get me out of your hair and set me up?"
She giggled at the thought of the boy being a match-maker for her. "Nah, I'm just kidding. It's a joke, okay?"

Cole glared at her, "Sure, whatever. " he turned back to his papers.

Abby laughed and got up from the floor, peering over his shoulder. "You're no fun, you know that?" She then knelt down in front of the desk, her fingers drumming the surface. "You know, I'm actually surprised."
She looked at him, seeing his raven hair. Wonder how soft it is... "Most guys I know don't deal with me this long. They either run away from me or pledge their undying love. Guess that makes you special."

"Or insane." He murmured under his breath.

"Hey!" Abby exclaimed, feeling fire fester inside of her. But decided to cool down. "Whatever. You're the one insane."
Deep down, she was happy he was hanging around her. Like she had said before, not many people liked her. Sure, they was some...but that was out of fear. This kid had the guts to come up to her face and tell her that he didn't like her. She enjoyed that. "I like ya kid."
