Re: Golgotha: Helheim's Gate
Zoe wondered the streets, her shabby appearance getting weary looks from the vendors. They knew her kind, they steal to survive. Finally she sat down in a doorway, her stomach telling her to find something but her mind saying who cares.

"I'll do you a deal," says Jack.

"And what would that be?" Autumn grumbled as she tried to push pass the pain that still seared at her shoulder.

"I'm going to keep you from dying, and you work for me. I'm not as young as I was, and one day I will need someone to take over from me. Probably by killing me."

Re: Golgotha: Helheim's Gate
Autumn opened her eyes and looked at him, raising a brow. "What does this work consist of?" She asked. Better to get the facts straight before she agreed to work for him. Just incase he was part of the Gaurd.

Zoe pulled her legs up to her chin and wrapped her arms around them. Tears slipping down her cheeks again. Her eyes watching the streets as her mind replayed the awful day they died over and over again in her mind.

Autumn watched him. "What kind of people? Like, killing people for the Guard?"

Re: Golgotha: Helheim's Gate
Autumn frowned. "Why would I want to work for the people that killed my family?"

Jack looks at her as though she's stupid.
"Because you can guarantee that they won't kill you that way. Because right now it's your best option if you want to stay alive."

Autumn gritted her teeth and stared at him. She wanted to live, but could she honestly work for the Gaurd? Could she kill innocent people? She stared at him for a long moment. Then sighed in defeat. It was her only option. Besides if she did this, she would have an in, and it would be easier to infiltrate. "Fine." she said through clenched teeth.

Jack catches a glimpse of her emotional turmoil in her eyes. "Believe me: after you've killed a few people, you stop worrying."
Jack holds out a hand to help her to her feet.

Autumn frowned and took his hand. This was not her idea of getting to the Caydrn. But at least this way she'd learn how to handle herself, not to mention be healed. She didn't say anything, she just followed him.

Re: Golgotha: Helheim's Gate
Zoe winced as the memories hit her hard.
"Come on Z!" Dalton called, "We're gonna be late. You know Jenson hates it when we're late."
She laughed, "But we're always late."
Dalton threw his hands up in the air, "That's probably why he hates me!" He called back as we darted through the crowds.
Zoe smirked, "Then why doesn't he hate me?"
"No one can hate you Z, your too much fun!" He said over his shoulder as we drew closer to where everyone is spose to meet. There were shouting voices up ahead, and she pressed harder to get through the crowd, something was going on.
"So what if we stole the bread?" she heard Jenson shout. "Its one lousy, stinky, piece of stale bread that will barely feed any of us." There was a loud smacking sound and Dalton's eyes got wide.
"Thats a crime boy," Zoe heard a dark voice say as she finally got close enough to see. "Do you know what the punishment is?"
Jenson smirked, "I have to listen to your ***** voice?" The guard stepped forward and punched Jenson in the gut as the other smirked.
"Well, I guess the crime doesn't matter now," The other guard said as he pulled a gun on Jenson. "I don't feel like listening to you anymore."
Dalton's face paled, it was then I noticed the three other boys in our group laying still on the ground, there bodies deathly pale, blood stemming from them and forming a pool on the stone ground.
Dalton rushed forward, knocking the gun from the guards hand. Frozen to the spot with fear she could only watch as he pulled a pocket knife out and went to stab the guard, only to be shot in the shoulder by another. Growling the guard who'd had the gun kicked Dalton as he fainted to the ground. "Take him to a cell, we'll deal with him later." He said, then shot Jenson in the head before walking off. Zoe stared after them, tears slipping down her cheeks. As the crowd faded she moved to the others and dropped to her knees. They were dead, they were all dead.
Zoe stayed on the porch with her knees pulled up under her chin, tears slipping down her cheeks. Maybe is she hadn't been late.....
((Sorry, I got bored so I made a really long post.))

Dalton aimlessly wandered, his shoulder still aching. He found himself going in the direction of where he use to stay with his family of street kids..before everything happened...

Re: Golgotha: Helheim's Gate
Tears still falling Zoe finally stood. She decided once again to skip the food and headed back home.
Re: Golgotha: Helheim's Gate
(yes Rav, there is)
Dalton found himself standing outside the old, run down building. He sighed as he walked in a little cautiously. It was dead quiet. Empty. Like a hallow shell of what use to be. He winced as the memories of the place danced through his mind.

Zoe reached the building and stepped in the door, her head down as she did. Lost in the memories of that last day. Tears still falling as she walked towards her room without looking up. It was like she was in her own little world....
Re: Golgotha: Helheim's Gate
Dalton jumped and spun when he heard someone walk in and his jaw dropped. "Z-zoe?"

She stared at him, unable to say a word. He was dead.....

Re: Golgotha: Helheim's Gate
Dalton rushed her, sweeping her into a large hug. "Zoe!" That was all he could say. He repeated her name over and over, just relieved to see she was alright. That she was alive.
