"And then I can be like hey, I know that guy who ... made... that....animation," Meredith ended up mumbling the last part. She wasn't good at talking to him now. She just felt boring compared to him. "So why'd you come to Macy's party?"

Anna tried to get back into the swing of the party, but her mood was ruined.

"If you hadn't run away... I would have apologized. I would have told you that we could talk about it if we were both ready. I would have waited," Adria said, his eyes falling back to the floor. "I would have let you decide... I would have listened."

Tara felt a tear roll down her cheek, smearing her make up a little. "I'm so sorry, Adrian." She whispered, and went back to hugging herself, darting off to the bathroom. Running away, like always.

Jarred finally managed to contol himself and came back to the party. Why? He didn't know. Anna was just going to be there and just going to harass him even more, make him feel like the worlds biggest d-bag. But still, he found himself walking into the party.

Kale chuckled and smiled widely, then his face fell slightly and he shrugged. "Honestly? I'm not sure..Other than the fact that dad's girlfriend was over again." Kale shuddered.

Adrian stood there for a second and then ran a hand through his hair. He was so confused... He still loved her... He thought she might still have feelings for him, but after that, he wasn't so sure. He found a chair and sat now, putting his elbows on his knees.

Once in the bathroom, Tara bawled her eyes out. She felt like a terrible human being for leaving him. She wanted him back, but her pride was getting in the way. Her make-up was running something aweful, and she used a paper towel to keep it from getting on her dress. "What am I going to do?" She asked herself as she stared at herself in the mirror.

Anna didn't talk to Jarred when he came in like he thought she would. She tried to pretend like he wasn't there. Maybe then, if he wasn't there, the hurt would go away.

Meredith was never sure what to say when Kale complained about his dad's girlfriend. She'd never been in that situation, her parents were together though they fought like they were getting a divorce. Of course, Meredith never talked about that either, because Meredith was the sort that wanted people to think everything was fine. Everything was okay. Everything was just perfect.
"Sorry --" Her cup slipped from her fingers and the punch went splashing onto her dress. Meredith's face went red and she wished she could disappear. Why did Kale's klutziness have to rub off on her?

Kale jumped "Uh, oh. Not good." He looked around trying to find napkins and awkwardly dabbed at her dress, trying not to touch anything he shouldn't.

Jarred found a group of girls off towards the corner and began to flirt with them, hoping it would ease his pain. It didn't though. He felt like he was cheating on her instead.

"It's okay, I'll just go now...to the bathroom...nice talking to you," Meredith said quickly, rushing off. But of course, someone had to be in the bathroom when she knocked. Someone crying, from the sound of it.

(Aww poor Jarred)

Anna couldn't even bring herself to flirt with another guy to begin with. She wouldn't admit this to Jarred, but she hadn't been able to since he left for Australia. Every guy she looked at she compared to him and none of them were ever good enough.

Tara jumped and quietly unlocked the door. It was one of those multi-toilet ones, but she didn't want Adrian to follow her for some stupid reason and find her in such a mess.

Jarred found himself being pulled away by one of the girls and he looked around desperately for an escape.

Meredith raised an eyebrow when the door unlocked. Wow, Macy was really rich if she could afford a bathroom like this. She stepped inside and glanced at the other girl awkwardly as she got some paper towels and began dabbing at her dress.
Would it be weird to ask if the other one was okay? Or would that be creepy?

The girl wanted to play a game with Jarred (figured she's an NPC right?hope so, if not I don't mean to PP) called 7 Minutes in Heaven. All the girls gathered around giggling and followed. They wanted to be the ones to push them into the closet.

Anna's friends decided to join in, and dragged Anna along. She wasn't sure how to say no, she didn't want to watch her ex kiss some chick, so she stayed silent.

Jarred was frantic now, this was not what he had been planning on. His eyes darted around for an escape as he gave pathetic excuses. ((haha nah, totally fine))

Tara tried to stop the flow of tears and fix her make up. Her face was an absolute mess from all the tears. She felt like such a baby, but she couldn't help it.

"Hey Anna, isn't that your ex?" A girl hissed to her, and she nodded slowly.

"But, uh...it's completely fine...I'm over ... him..." She had to force the words out.

"Are you okay?" Meredith asked, looking at the girl sidelong as she tried to get the punch out of the fabric of her dress. What she really meant was: why are you crying? But she thought that might be a bit straightforward and pushy.

"Ya, I just uh," Tara cleared her throat as she washed her face off completely, figuring she might as well. "Just guy stuff." She forced a small smile.

"I-uh can't uh, I'm claustrophobic." Jarred said as he tried to pull away. Gad damn this girl were desperate for some face.

"Boyfriend troubles?" Meredith asked with a sigh. "I think everyone's having them at this party. Or ex-boyfriend ones."

Anna smirked and closed the door on Jarred and the girl.

Tara gave a small smirk. "Ya, he's my ex." She said as she dried her face off and sighed. She had left her make-up bag in the car and honestly didn't feel like going to get it. "What about you? You got boyfriend troubles here too?"

Jarred groaned in defeat as the door was shut. Before he knew it the girl was all over him. He sighed and figured he might as well make the best of it and kissed her back.

Meredith bit her lip and thought about it for a second then shook her head. "Not really troubles...I'm not even sure what's going on. We broke up last winter, but it wasn't awkward to see him today...it was really weird. We got along just fine, though more as friends and -- you didn't really want to know that. Anyway, yes boyfriend troubles."

After seven minutes passed, someone swung the door open.
"Have fun in there?" A girl giggled, and Anna felt sick. She quickly walked away from the scene, not wanting to think about him in there with that slut girl.

Jarred was fixing his shirt. That girl was a beast. It was nothing like kissing Mirissa. It actually really sucked. He walked out and quickly ran from the group of girls to the other side of the room. He figured it would probably be safest to refrain from making female contact from that point on. He felt his inside turn with guilt.

Tara gave a small smile and shook her head. "Man, this is going to be some party then, huh?" She asked as she grabbed some paper towels and began to help her with her dress. "I love you dress by the way, well...other than the punch stain." She smiled.

Anna was sitting near the stairs, rolling something around in her hand. It was the pendent off of a necklace, a tiny little silver heart. Jarred had given it to her last winter, though he probably just picked it as one of the things he was allowed -- the store owner let them pick little things from the store for free every now and then, usually things that he thought wouldn't sell.
She wondered why she still had it. The chain had broken, which was probably good, because she didn't have to deal with whether she wanted to wear it anymore. But she still had the little heart from it, it had been in her purse.
She wanted to throw it, crush it, break it.
Keep it.

"Thank you...yours is nice too," Meredith said, biting her lip and looking hopelessly down at the stain on her dress that they both continued to work at. "I'm Meredith, by the way."

"I'm Tara," She said with a bright smile and wet the towel lightly and began to dab at the dress again, the stain starting to lift a little. "What I wouldn't give for some Oxy Clean right about now." She said with a soft laugh.

Jarred stood and, despite his determination to stay away from female contact, walked over to Anna and looked down at her, his brow furrowed in obvious conflict.

Meredith laughed slightly, too. "My mom used to make me carry around that automatic-stain-stick-thing. I always hated it, but I wish I would have listened...might have come in handy about now."

Anna's hand closed around the heart when Jarred came over, hiding it from him. She looked up at him wearily. "What?" She said, not bitterly but not weakly either...she was confused on how to feel.

"You mean Tide-to-go?" Tara laughed as she looked up at her, "I think I might actually have one of those in my purse. Hold on, I'll be right back." She slipped out of the bathroom and over to where the coats were hanging and found her purse and slipped back inside, hopefully without Adrian noticing. She had tried her hardest to be all ninja about the whole thing. "Got it!" Tara said as she held up the little stain fighter. "It's my ninja against stains."

Jarred dropped onto the step beside her and dropped his head into his hands. "Why did they do that to me?" He finally said with a huff. It was obvious that the current even had really bothered him.

Kale was standing awkardly near the spill still. He whistled and side stepped, as smoothly as he could, away from the mess. He instead ended up tripping over his feet and falling flat on his face.

"Perfect," Meredith said, her eyes lighting up slightly. She took it from Tara and rubbed it across what remained of the stain. "Does it take a few minutes to work? I haven't used one in ages."

Anna put her elbow on her knee and put her hand in her palm.
"They're teenaged, horny girls. Why do you think?"

Tara shook her head, "it should lift the stain right out." She grabbed a few more paper towels and started to dab where Meredith had already rubbed the stain stuff.

Jarred shuddered. "I swear it was the scarriest thing in my life." He grumbled.

Meredith checked again after a moment and the stain was gone. She grinned.
"Thanks for your help, Tara."
But then her face fell slightly.
"I'm not sure if I want to go back out there, though...I looked really stupid spilling my punch."

"Oh, you liked it," Anna said with a roll of her eyes. "I'm sure you did. You came out with your shirt half-on, you must have enjoyed yourself even a /little/."

((ya...she tortures people.....kinda sad..best bad guy I've made though. First one I haven't killed off))

Tara rolled her eyes. "Pish-posh. We'll go out together. Besides. It can't be worse than having a melt down infront of your ex." She said as she put her things in her purse and held her hand out to her. "Come on."

"No, actually. That girl was rather...heathen-ish." Jarred said as he glanced over at her. "I kid you not, it's worse than kissing Jo from school." Jo was a rather large and burly girl that had gone to their school and forced Jarred to kiss her or he'd break his arm, this happened just last year.
