The Summer that changed my life forever...

Brok: Not do anything? "Do you only think about what you want?" I asked her. "Do you even care how I feel about all this?"

Dakota: My jaw dropped. Of course I cared. What the hell? "Are you calling me selfish?"

Brok: "You called me a cheater and that was inaccurate, wasn't it?"

Dakota: "It doesn't /seem/ like it's inaccurate," I mumbled, turning away from the door and sitting down heavily on the bed. She had a key, and she was going to his BEDROOM. How did that not look like cheating?

Brok: "Are you calling me a liar?" I yelled at the door.

Ryan: I'd just woken up and passed Brok yelling at his girlfriend's door. Well, this should be interesting. I walked past him without him noticing anything. Man, they argued a lot.

(Do they really argue a lot? -thinks- Hm, I guess they do :/ Though we kinda set this one up)

Dakota: I froze. Yelling. My dad yelled. Brok was yelling. I hugged myself and pulled my knees to my chest. No, no, no, no. I didn't respond to the yelling.

(haha we set up all their arguments remember? we're the ones who do this to them.)

Brok: I sighed and banged my head against the door again. "Dammit, I'm sorry," I said, mostly to myself. "I can't do anything right."

Dakota: I didn't respond. I'd just sit silently in here until it was time to go to the airport. Then I'd leave and go back to...I couldn't really go back, could I? I'd quit my job and everything. I was so stupid. Plus, I wouldn't want to go back to my dad. I'd have to move somewhere else.

Brok: I stood up and knocked quietly on the door again. "Kota? Could you please come out here?"

Dakota: "No," I said simply, afraid to say more or my words might get choked off.

Brok: I sighed. "You have to come out eventually."

Dakota: "I'll come out when it's time for me to leave for the airport," I said, my voice cracking a little, but hopefully not too noticeably. He didn't need to know I was crying.

Brok: "At least let me give you a ride to the airport," I said. What did this mean? Did this mean we weren't dating anymore?

Dakota: I paused. "Fine."

Brok: I stood by the door awkwardly now, not sure what to say. Could I successfully drive her to the airport? I wasn't actually sure about that.

Dakota: I wanted to tell him to go away until then, but the words stuck in my throat. I sighed and fell back on the bed, closing my eyes. Not to sleep, just to think.

Brok: I paced the hallway. I was really hungry, but I decided to stay here and wait for Dakota in case she tried to leave without me.

Dakota: "You should probably go eat the food Fiona's making for you," I said bitterly.

Brok: Me, eat Fiona's food? "No way. She can't cook worth anything."

Dakota: I almost laughed, but then remembered I was mad at him. "Oh."

Brok: "Yeah..." Was it supposed to be this awkward between us? We'd been awkward before, but not like this.

Dakota: It was time to go soon. I wiped away any makeup that had dripped, then unlocked the door and stepped into the hallway, not looking at him. "It's time to go."

Brok: "Okay," I said. "Let's go now." I didn't want to bring her to the airport, though. Maybe I should drive to the wrong place on accident so we had a little more time together? No, no need to make her madder at me than she already was.

Dakota: I nodded and started down the hallway, my bag over my shoulder and my arms crossed in front of my chest as I stared at the floor and walked.

Fiona: I ran out behind the two of them. "Going on a date?"

Brok: Seriously? This was all her fault. And Trey was going to die later too when I got my hands on him. "Go away, Fiona." I whispered, "Hurry," in Dakota's ear. I really would like to get away from Fiona.
