Brok: Oh, crap. Didn't think that far x_x

Dakota: I sighed. Well we'd better start thinking then.

Brok: Yup. Help meeeeeee. I'm not good at this.

Dakota: [i]Do we need an excuse, or we can we tell him the truth?[b]

Brok: Truth is better with Kent.

Dakota: Then it isn't that hard. Just tell him the truth.

Dakota: Okay. Tomorrow.

Brok: Cool. Ten o'clock? It was early, but I'd do it for Kota.

Dakota: Sure.

Brok: Awesome. See you then. Love ya. <3

Dakota: I smiled at the text, then felt stupid for smiling at a cellphone screen.
love you, too <3 I put my phone down and checked my bruise in the mirror. I'd have to use a lot of concealer if I wanted to hide it from Brok. I wondered if I should pack things now, in case Kent said yes...nah, I'd wait.

Brok: I sighed and fell asleep. I really hoped this worked. If it didn't...well, I didn't want to think about that. But I couldn't leave Kota here. I missed her too much when I was gone.

Dakota: I woke up the next day and got dressed, half an hour until I was supposed to go help Brok.

Brok: I rolled out of bed at nine thirty and took a shower.

Dakota: I wondered if I should try to look like...a certain way? I sighed and just put on jeans and a t-shirt anyway.

Brok: I finished my shower and told Kent I wanted to play checkers with him before we took off. Thankfully, he agreed, and I subjected myself to a boring game I barely knew how to play while waiting for Dakota.

(um like you log on and do a couple then are gone, do one, leave, come back on do a bunch, leave...)

Dakota: I went to Brok's house/jet/thing.

(Hmmm. Sorrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyy x_x. I'm too easily distracted now that I'm back on IP.)

Brok: I looked over and saw Dakota. "Hey, Kota."

Kent: I finished kinging one of my pieces. "Hi. Dakota, right?"

Brok: "We need to talk to you."

Kent: I sighed. "I'm listening."

Dakota: I didn't even get a chance to say hello...Did Brok expect me to start?! I glanced over at him. "So...um..."

Dakota: "Um, well, I was wondering if maybe I could possibly go with you all?" I said quickly then sort of winced.

Kent: I raised an eyebrow. "That's an...odd request."

Brok: I tuned to him. "There's a good reason for this, Dad."

Kent: "Then please explain."
