Daughter of Darkness

It's ok Ella, don't worry about it. I totally understand. I wrote a 6 page research essay case study thing yesterday, 3 page essay today, and am doing a bunch of math too. So my brain is fried as well


Peter sighed and rested his head on hers. "Run?"

O.o yikes. you passing all your classes though?

Gabrielle sighed "it would be pointless. he's out for me and only me"

So far. I have A's in two classes, a B in another class. I don't know what I have in 2 of my other classes, and still have yet to take my math final. I'm trying to get my math homework done before I take it tomorrow. You know that math project I had a melt down over? Guess what? It wasn't due until the next day at midnight.


Peter looked down at her, his finger lifting her chin so he could look her in the eye. "It'd give us a little more time though."

*dies*
*comes back to life and pats you on the back* w-o-w. just w-o-w

Gabrielle swallowed hard, staring hard into the future "I... I don't know...." she admitted.

(*cough cough* perhaps kale putting himself in danger to save artemis from seph would help her realize what love, love is)

Peter watched her carefully. "It'll draw them away from here won't it? If we ran somewhere else? And we're still ahead of them. We'll at least have two extra days."

Gabrielle bit her lip, coming back to the present "o-okay" she consented "run it is"

Peter watched her and gave a small smile, brushing her hair from her face and tucking it behind her ear. "We'll leave at night fall, when they can't stop us."

Artemis took a deep, shaky breath "what are their powers?"

Peter searched their minds undetected. "The girl is a telepath, but no where near as strong as I am. And the boy...." His brow furrowed. "The boy is normal."

Gabrielle frowned "how are they to protect themselves then? just a weak telepath? they'll get slaughtered" guilt started to eat at her

"There is the girl that sees with shadows. And the boy that controls the earth." Peter said as he watched her. "They won't come here though, will they? They can't trace us here."

Gabrielle frowned "I don't know, I am unable to see. their fate lies in someone elses hands." her eyes went distant for a moment "a young girl, in a cell right now"

Peter watched her carefully his brow raising in curiosity. There were girls in the prison beside Gabrielle? That was new. Didn't change anything though.

"what of the telepath?" Gabrielle asked "can you teach her a little? give them something? some fighting chance

Peter watched her and gave a small nod. "I guess I could. Before we leave. I've already showed her how to heal."

Gabrielle nodded, feeling a little better now "alright, we run then"

Peter gave a small nod, his arm still around her. "Would you like to go back inside?"

Gabrielle gave one last look around "please"

Peter nodded and led her back inside. He hoped that Gabrielle would bring up the fact that he was going to teach the girl. He really didn't want to talk to them. He didn't know why, but he just didn't want to.

As if reading his thoughts, Gabrielle refrained from mentioning it, tucking it into the deep corners of her mind, away from the telepath

Peter walked with her around the corner and into the livingroom. The boy was passed out on the couch, and the girl seemed to have her face in a book. He raised his brow, but didn't say anything. He just stayed quiet.

Artemis looked up at him and smiled "everything okay?"

Peter gritted his teeth slightly. Why did she have to talk to him instead of Gabrielle? It was just as bad as talking on the phone. He gave a small nod. "Yes. Everything is fine."

(o.o I meant to say them. and 'just as bad as talking on the phone' <- *tilts head* do explain!)
Artemis frowned, looking between the two, not believing it

Haha Peter hates talking on the phone. He finds it awkward and hard to gage other people's emotions and over all frustratingly hard to concentrate. He hates talking in general, unless he's sassing someone or talking to Gabrielle.)

Peter watched her. This was so ridiculous. Why did she have to be a telepath? Had it been anyone else he would be able to read them like a book, get through their mind undetected. But no. Not this girl. Not if he was going to see her emotions, her thoughts. Finding a power was one thing. Everything else was a totally different matter.
