Arcanthus: I looked around, a bored expression on my face. Being here was wasting my time. I had a job to do, and it really couldn't wait.

I kicked a small rock at my feet, sending it skittering several yards away. Ow. I really should've done that with shoes on.

I know, I know, I grumbled back to her in my mind, also in Pedla. It's not like I'd think in English, anyway.
I wish we knew where we were, she thought, casting her amber eyes about. The signs are in English, so it must still be a human plane.
Makes sense. We were on a human plane to begin with, so it's not like we could've gotten far. ...God, those damn bonders always have to screw things up...
It doesn't matter, Traieka dismissed. They'll all be dead soon, anyway.

Arcanthus: I looked around quickly, my ice green eyes narrowing at the sound. Someone was here.

Na'arsif
I saw movement on the edge of my vision (an edge which was brought closer than normal by my hood) and turned my head. It was dark, but I could see well enough. Some person, not too far from me, had reacted to my rock-kicking. I leaned against the side of the brick building I had been standing near, ignoring the person. I stood by an alleyway, a section of road not touched by the dim light from the lone, nearby street-lamp. I was on the fringe of the pool of light now, something I was perfectly fine with.

A long, silvery, lanky cat burst out of the shadows and pounced on the kicked rock. Even in the heat of the hunt, she moved with grace and dignity.

A man, of the same long and lanky build, though not of the same silvery color, also emerged from the darkness. "Forgive Zalo," he implored, "She gets excited easily."

I watched as the silver cat landed squarely on the rock I had kicked with mild interest. I turned at the sound of a man's voice, cocking my head to the side.
"Dosen'd boder me," I answered. "Id's jusd a rock."
I've been told by some English-speaking friends that my accent could be placed somewhere between Russian and German. I'll admit that I don't put a terrible effort into speaking English perfectly. Most of the time, I can't be troubled with it.

(Woah, where can I come in? Since we are basically starting over-ish, I need to talk with someone. I think I have Mikey as my character, right?)
