R.I.P Elaina

Jace held her close as he felt her breathing and heartbeat even out and knew she was asleep. He hoped she didn't have any nightmares or anything.

"Are we going to get jobs? Or something?" Karina asked hesitantly. Where would they work? McDonald's? Neither of them would finish high school at this point...

Elaina had the opposite of nightmares. Instead she dreamed about Jace. Kissing Jace. In her sleep she smiled. "Jace," She slep-talked his name.

"We will have to eventually." He had about two hundred thousand dollars, so that would last for a while. But what happened when it started to get low? Or run out?

(where did he get that kind of money? O.o)

"Hmm. Where?" Where would they work, Karina meant.

( hmmm His little secret )

"I have no idea. Depends on where we end up living." Zerrick was hesitant to say that, not sure if she would want to live with him, or live on her own.

(haha alright)

Karina looked over at him. "We'll live together...right?"

Jace looked down at Elaina, concern in his eyes. She was still asleep... She slept talked? He chuckled quietly and tightened his arm subconsiously. She was smiling, too.

Elaina woke up awhile later, for real now, and looked up at Jace with a small smile. "Thank you for keeping me safe." Before she could think about the creepy feeling it would give her, she leaned up and kissed his cheek.

Zerrick looked over at her. "If it won't be awkward for you or anything, yeah."

"Why would it be awkward?" Karina asked, raising an eyebrow at him. It wasn't like they had to share a bed or something.

"I was just saying." Would she wanna share a bed? Or would she want her own room? Zerrick never was good at understanding girls, so he wasn't about to start now.

Jace smiled and nodded, looking down at her, his eyes holding so much emotion. "No problem," he said, hugging her with one arm.

"Will it be awkward for /you/?" Karina asked back, trying to be polite in case.

"Nope." Zerrick was kinda excited about the prospect of living with her. Seeing her every morning, he reddish hair all a frazzle from sleeping. It would also be nice to see where their feelings for each other went.

Karina smiled with a single nod. "Good."

Hours later, they ended up in Colorado. "Hey. I think we should get a room for the night. I'm tired and hungry."

"Good idea," Karina said, and got out when he parked in front of a hotel. "There's probably a place to eat inside. Or room service."

"Yeah." Since Zerrick had money, it was a REALLY nice hotel. He grabbed one of his bags from the truck and headed into the lobby to secure them a room. Moments later, he and Karina walked into an extremely spacious room, that even had a hot tub. "Wow." Zerrick said, laying his bags on the bed.

Karina's eyes went wide. "Whoa. I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere this nice before," She said, slowly walking around and looking at everything.

He grinned. "Me either. That hot tub is gonna be so nice!" He laughed and found a room service menu. It was filled with a million different things. "So, what do you want to eat?"

"Hmm." Karina looked over his shoulder at the menu. "Wow, I don't know...so many choices." She laughed.

"I know. I'ma get the Chinese Meal. Sounds amazing." Zerrick handed her the menu and grabbed a pair of swim shorts outta his bag. "Hey, when you decide do you mind ordering down?"

"Sure thing," Karina said, sitting down on the bed with the menu in the hand. That's when she realized it was /the bed/ meaning just one. But it was a big bed, so that would make it less awkward. She figured out what she wanted and called down their order.

Zerrick came out of the bathroom a second later in his t-shirt and swim shorts. "As soon as I get some food into me, I am lounging in the hot tub. So, what did you order?"

"Grilled cheese, nothing special." Karina shrugged.
